Adrian Peterson's son was abused to death

Honestly **** like this scares me and has kept me up some nights in the past. Even though I've moved on and have no regrets about my divorce, the safety of my children is a HUGE concern for me and the only reason I stayed in a bad marriage for longer than I needed to.

The worst part is I don't trust my ex's judgement AT ALL and even though I stay out of her business, her poor judgement worries me. She seems to have a care free attitude about bringing men around my kids and thinks it's all good, but doesn't realize that predators out there look for women eager for companionship. :smh:

And with her one-upper attitude she would be all about picking a dude based on all the wrong things.

Bro it's better to be safe than sorry. If you have to go to court and make a request that you should be allow to meet every dude that is around your children or no men should be around your children until a certain point, do it. Stuff like this happens all the time :smh: as much motherly instincts women inherit they always have selfish moment. Make sure your children are in good hands

absolutely tragic..

as a Vikes fan.. I feel so bad for this man. you should NEVER have to bury your child... RIP to him and condolences to the Peterson family.

Read about it this morning and just heard he passed :frown:

Only a coward would hurt an innocent child.. Dude has been in jail for domestic violence and for hurting his own kid before.. Why he was free and in a house with a child is beyond me

Ok so flame suit is equipped.. People are getting this twisted. From the reports I am reading AP played no part in this child's life and paternity tests are pending. So ultimately it is despicable that a child is dead, but feeling sorry for AP and his family is in my opinion misplaced. He is there dealing with this for one reason and one reason only, damage control. I will be the first to retract if someone can show me otherwise.

No flaming, this was a child no one knew AP potentially had until today because he didn't claim him. He's the same exact age as his other son who is in the picture by another woman.

Terrible situation all around

I am pretty sure they were waiting on paternity tests to make sure, but ap seems super stand up. Does not seem anywhere near a dead beat.

i dont know if this is media driven or sincere...

but he always seemed like one of the good guy athletes...

that makes it suck even more.

Bro hug man. I told baby mama that if she ever got with anyone that if I don't want him or don't see him fit for my boy that dude will never see him unless I'm there. I trust NOBODY with my boys life.

How can you say that with such certainty? If a paternity test was pending, how do you know what his role in that kid's life would have been had it been proven that he was the father? Can you blame a pro athlete for not wanting to be a victim of a financial trap?

What if it comes out that the kid is not his? The story isn't about the kid being AP's in my opinion, it's about a kid being killed by an adult, an adult with a history of domestic violence and a mother who, at the very least, exercised poor judgement in bringing that lowlife around her child.

Please don't turn this into a thread about picking AP apart because this is about a child dying. I don't care one way or the other about AP and don't even watch football enough to call myself a casual fan. The "celebrity" angle of this story isn't the point.

You are making a reach in your assumption and that assumption is going to turn this thread into something it really doesn't need to be. If you can prove what you're saying, that's another story and I'll retract what I'm typing now.

Paternity has been proven it's a public court document .. otherwise AP wouldn't be given press statements about this situation. He find out this was his kid this year, I'm just saying.

This is the thing I hate seeing at work the most. I see a lot of depressing things but its hard to beat someone beating a child to death. Had one case where the dad threw the baby across the room into the wall.

Whats even worse is talking with some of the people who deal with the prosecution of the abusers say that sometimes if the child winds up dying they somehow get a lighter sentence than if the child lived. Not sure of the legal aspects behind it but it boggles my mind.

:smh: Damn, how could anyone do this to a child? I hope this scum bag gets the death penalty or at least someone kills him in prison.

Where are you guys getting this info from that he has 2 sons?

Adrian Jr. is his son that lives with him and is in his daily life. The one who passed on is a child he had with a white woman who moved from MN to SD where this crime occured.

The celebrity angle is the reason why this is news.

Unfortunately this type of thing isn't uncommon. The world is full of scum
