This roster isn't going to work. Not an overreaction to this preseason game, but something I've felt since the summer.

We improved under the guise of better shooting, but Caron and Willie were one of the best three point shooting wing duos last year, so JJ and Dudley aren't really improvements in my eyes, especially at the expense of Bled, who was our last asset to really improve the team.

We have too many one dimensional players who are too similar to each other and no bigs who can play on both ends or hit a mid range J.
 
^^^Honestly, I've got some concerns too, especially the front line. I know the full line up hasn't been in tact in the preseason, but we really haven't looked impressive. I have faith in Doc, but I don't think we're going to get out of the gates that fast. Could be playing .500 ball for a while until things start coming together.
 
We apparently waived Amundson after the game last night. With Wayns injured, I hope that means we have plans to sign another big. Oakafor maybe? - if he gets bought out by the Suns. I known Al Harrington and Jason Collins are still out there too.
 
I saw that Diogu got waived, I'll sign him. Good around the basket, long arms and most importantly boards for his position. He played well for us in his short stint here.

If we pick him up and if he's healthy, wouldn't surprise me if he ends up closing out some games too, since he's a much better FT shooter than DJ.
 
Depending on when Okafor can return I wouldn't have a problem with it.

I say we give this roster a chance and if we looking weak on the front line then make a trade during ASB.


I really think we'll be okay. Yea we're weak on the front line but we just need to set up a defensive scheme to make up for the weaknesses we have. If we blame out shortcomings on a weak bigs then i think that's a cop out.



Oh and trade Willie Green :lol:

I wish, man. But gotta take my son trick-or-treating. Bring us luck. Hate the Dubs now, so I really want to get that one. Set the tone for the rest of the season.
 
Finally some meaningful basketball. I'll be posting more in here now that I've completely gone away from topbuzz. Those dudes might be the worst Clipper fans in existence :lol:

That is a tough one. No wrong decision to make there, but if it was me, I'd probably go.
