I don't think anyone is purporting that green tea is a cure  for cancer.
 
This place is pretty silent when you start asking for research to back the claims. 
 
It doesn't cure cancer but it clearly does have medical benefits. Just did a research term paper on Medical marijuana. Marijuana has been known to be used for those affected by: “severe nausea/vomiting associated with cancer chemotherapy; cachexia associated with AIDS or cancer; spasticity secondary to neurological diseases such as multiple sclerosis; pain management, especially neuropathic pain; and rheumatoid arthritis.”

Although cancer has not yet been fully proven, and the drug does have a high benefit to risk ratio. All on the user.
