The Minnesota Timberwolves Thread: Timberwolves, Anthony Bennett part ways

I think you all need to settle down on LaVine. If how he played at UCLA is any indication he is pretty far away from playing any minutes at point gaurd in the NBA.

he'll get minutes at first but i know flip will play mo and jj a lot until one gets traded.

Yeah I'm very far from a fan of Zach LaVine.

I'm ready for another disappointing season..

At least they'll be entertaining?

We'd all take a consistent winner over just that, but at least that is a better direction than aimless hope. If we can shuck from our minds the fact that this is the third or fourth attempt at starting over then we'd feel better being patient with this team, given their astronomical upside.

Just one preseason game down, but I don't know what lineup(s) is/are going to work. Rubio-Martin-Wiggins-Thad-Dieng seemingly is the most balanced.

Don't like the thought of Pekovic and Thad playing post defense together (Thad's steal total doesn't mean he would contrast Pek's shortcomings on defense).

Pekovic is making plenty of $, but considering how brutal the Timberwolves bench was at scoring in 2013-14 it's a sacrifice that might need to be necessary. I think Dieng's already ready to start on 20 teams, no? That lineup above appears to be the best.

I would agree. Dieng is going to be tbe center anyways once they finds someone who is willing to take Peks contract.

Bench play will be interesting. Do they star Wiggins day 1 or let him play his way? Him and Brewer along with Rubio, if he stays discipline enough to stay in front of guys, should do fine on the defensive end.

Anyone else when they get 2k going to trade all the vets  I'M RUNNING!

I think Wiggins will start Day 1.. his defense alone should be the reason he starts.. he'd start at the 3, yeah he needs to put on some size but he ain't gonna start at the 2 with KMart there. He's a 20ppg scorer that can stretch the D.

Rubio - Martin - Wiggins - Thad - Dieng sounds good.. probably will be Pek though

main role players will be Mo - Brewer - Dieng.. Bud? Bennett?

Nah played 2k last night caught fire with Mo Williams with the three ball

Rubio to lavine and Wiggins oops went as imagined :smokin

I heard they are going to manage peks minutes to keep him healthy so 25-30min means dieng should get some minutes Prolly a few starts

Keep him healthy, ship him off at the deadline.

Sorry, too soon?

I'm ready.

I think a Pek, Dieng, and Young post rotation would be a good one for now. Good bugs are hard to come by. Why get rid of him for nothing?

Good luck this season guys. If Wiggins becomes a superstar, I'll be able to say I went to his first regular season NBA game

I'm expecting a low scoring affair Wednesday and for Minnesota to keep it close, but not be able to come out with the W.

Cant wait for Wednesday!

I can tell TC will be LOUD!
