**** Don Lemon, never liked the dude.

But Bill Cosby ain't never said anything bad about the Black community that i disagreed with.

All the **** Cosby talked about the Black community is **** that needs to be addressed.

The AP slander, even though he's charging the dude with fouls that he shouldn't be, I'm not going to bother with that. I mean how was he supposed to know he seeded that jump up?

This guy on the other hand I can't rock with, but I refuse to call him an uncle Tom...that's word is fraught with ignorance.

The thing is that Uncle Toms do exist. It's a harsh criticism but they are out there. The problem is people throw that term around way too easily and end up twisting around what it means. I'm not sure if I would've used it in this instance.
 
Dawg... I'm not co-signing this dude, but if you're going to start a thread calling someone an Uncle Tom, at least post an article depicting their UTishness. What did he say that wasn't spot on? Basically just saying take responsibility for your F'ing kids, amirite? So according to OP, that's Uncle Tommish?

I personally think that more black women fit this term than black men. IMO

I find that people who call people Uncle Toms are just as ignorant......for me to call someone an "Uncle Tom" they literally need to be on some Ruckus sh%#.

Well in my experience an Uncle Tom simply means a black people who another black person thinks acts white....the black person doesn't even necessarily have to hate or oppress black people.

Calling attention to ills and ignorance in the black community is inconsistent with this definitions. I've never heard any of you people start a thread about drug dealers, misogynistic rappers, preachers who exploit poor black people.....it's always about a Tom from Boondocks lookin' dude married to a white woman meanwhile real problems exist in your communities.

I think the amount of notoriety he got from this clip from from conservative news sources and his mostly white viewers, I think he understands how much white people especially conservative whiter people love to see black people criticize other black people.

AP kid dies, and LOW AND BEHOLD, Don Lemon has even more things to say totally painting AP as a stereotypical black father despite not knowing any real details.

nah man, that by implying that the problems that plague the black community can be solved by pulling up your pants, or ******g "planning" to have kids, I think totally is participating in your own oppression.

Uncle Tom?He really was a hero so I don't care to use that term but Don Lemon is what white America wants to see because clearly he's gay,his mannerisms,his tone and delivery say's a lot without saying much but it says to to them and other's that he's safe deal with.He's the polar opposite of what they don't want to deal with,they don't want an Al Sharpton,lol **** they don't even want a Herman Cain even though he's a republican and is against Affirmative Action and all of that jazz.

I tell brother & Sisters that remember you work for corporate America but corporate America shouldn't be working you.For some it's too late they already have transition and that's their badge to hold up for acceptance into that world,until something goes bad or doesn't workout then here comes the sour grapes.

Poor communities of every race deal with these issues, THIS IS NOT NEW, people don't sell drugs because of ******g rappers, Mysogyny wasn't created by rap music, these are simply expressions of the realities of being poor and black in America, if that reality frightens you then DEAL WITH THE REALITY.

Somehow have black people become the example A. for these ills in society.

If Chief Keef frightens you then deal with the achievement gap in low income neighborhood schools.

Don't talk to me about ******g Chiefs Keefs pants.

I just want to see some consistency, I'm tired of these dumb Uncle Tom threads. Make a thread exposing your neighborhood crack dealer, and reporting him to the police.

Black people will never take credit for ANYTHING that happens to them. It doesn't matter who created misogyny it needs to be openly shunned in black culture.  Stop making excuses.

If I bring up black on black violence, all I'm going to get is a rant about how they are products of their environment....albeit true, this mentality of helplessness perpetuates this type of behavior. This is why black people need someone like Bill Cosby to take some responsibility for their own condition.

What op is saying really speaks on his ignorance. Don Lemon may come off as condescending and all that, but what has he said that didn't make not one bit of sense? Its not like he's saying these things to please white people, this is more or less just his opinions that are given on situations involving the black community that he thinks can do better.

If that's being an uncle tom. Call everybody else that thinks that AP is a **** father figure an uncle tom.
