In your opinion, who had the most improbable route to make it as a professional athlete?

Dennis rodman was a 5-6 scrub his freshman year of HS. He went from NAIA to one of the greatest rebounders ever.

At 6-8 210, he could guard positions 2-5

Has to be the dude who got scooped up by Michael Irvin for that football reality show, won a tryout for the Cowboys, made it and had a huge play in a regular season game.

How you go from TMobile on Monday to catching passes for the Cowboys on Sundays...

my main man dj mbenga though

Mbenga was born in and raised in Kinshasa  in Zaire, now known as the Democratic Republic of the Congo, where his father was a government employee.[sup][2][/sup][sup][3][/sup][sup][4][/sup]  When a new regime  took over power, it sought everyone who worked for the previous leader.[sup][3][/sup]  As unrest in the country escalated, Mbenga's father was imprisoned.[sup][3][/sup]  Although he was eventually unable to save himself, he did manage to negotiate on behalf of his sons, who were also imprisoned and waiting to be executed. Mbenga fled the country on a plane to Belgium, where he received asylum.[sup][3][/sup]  While living in a refugee center, he was discovered by Belgian basketball legend Willy Steveniers, who eventually served as Mbenga's personal basketball mentor.[sup][5][/sup]  Mbenga is a dual citizen  of both his native countries.[sup][6][/sup]
