Official Air Jordan XX9 post! 1st two released 9/6/14! NO BUYING/SELLING/TRADING!

They should have put the XX8s on ID. The shroud and the bootie allowed for such a range of options.

The best option for the XX9s seems to be pasting previous Jordans on it. That V is sweet. I would consider getting one of those if they released

Will there be an SE version? I haven't seen an answer to this question yet.

somehow i doubt that the xx9 will get an SE version. Why? Because the initial xx9 already is a very light built shoe. The aj 2012 had a light version which dud not havecany leather upper. Xx8 without the shroud, 19 without the midfoot mudguard etc.

i won't be getting this on release day, ill wait till they offer 50% discount on the stores

I have an M10 already

But this xx9 really is using the newest technology lighter and more durable.

The reason I will wait is to check out whether the XX9 will have the same Zoom AIR unit and outsole damage issue again
like the XX8.
If there are some people reporting this, I will not touch these, even not on discount.

lets not forget that the xx8 for 250 had a full shoe cover with neoprene like material. The xx8 SE which didnt retailed for 150 - 175.
So speaking of the xx9 which uses less material than the standard xx8 is expected have a lower retail.

Yea, true.. I forgot about that. But less material doesn't mean less expensive material tho. Don't forget to come up with the new fly weave they had to invest in a new machines that makes the new material. It's one reason why flyknit stuff are expensive as well.

The 2012 lite wasn't actually any lighter. It was just a cheaper version that didn't perform nearly as well. Don't forget the really cheap looking version of the 2011 too.

there was also a cheaper version of the 2011 too?
Even don't remember ^^

But I'm really wondering what an SE version of the XX9 could look like.
Maybe use Mesh upper like the Kobe 9 EM (lows) I guess.

Yeah, what was it called, Q Flight or something like that, the lower version 2011 that is.

yeah you are right. Now I remember. I think the best alternative design of any Air Jordans in my opinion are:

AJ16+ white/grey-cherrywood
AJ 17+ white/black-copper
AJ 18.5 white/black-silver
AJ 19 SE white/navy-gold and black/gold

AJ 21 SE and AJ 22 SE were not really cool.

I love the 18.5 and 19 SE, both were great looking sneakers.

same here.
I think for those who found the initial AJ 19 too bulky because of the midfoot cover, the SE version was definetly an improvement.
The AJ 19 are not only very comfortable but also extremely durable.
I balled in them mostly outdoor, only minimal scratches, only reglued at the toe after 10 years.
The Carbon Fiber is also covered by the TPU to avoid cracking.

You just reminded me of my college days.

Passed on the 17+ now with regrets because those might have played better than the regular and they looked awesome with MJ in the 21v40 commercial.
Passed on the 18.5 because they looked like toasters. Happy with two regular 18s back then.
Got the 19 SE, tbh..the fit wasn't as good as the regular 19. I had a problem with the fish-line wire coming through the tongue of the shoe and poking at my ankle. I still have my Blk/red, but the patent leather cracked.
Passed on the 21 all together. I thought they just look fat after comparing to the XX.
I had the 22 SE Chicago, I thought they looked great. Still have these too all beat up. Might donate them to goodwill soon.

So the 19 SE had a different fit?
Yeah, the only thing that shows some cracking is the patent and the area of creasing.
Nevertheless the patent quality was a bit better than on the AJ 11 in my opinion.

The 21 are somewhat fat indeed and don't look good casually with pants. I only wear them
with basketball shorts in the summer. The ankle part isn't as comfortable compared to the
AJ 16, 17 18 and 19.

Yea, the 19 SE fit different. I had heel slips with the SE and overall didn't feel as secure on the upper. The quality was awesome for sure. The only problem I had with the regular pair was the lace was garbage. Don't know what they were thinking when they gave us dress shoe laces,

i see.
concerning the thin laces that came with initially (standard laces were packed as alternative) i never have issues with them because the lace lock works very well. I just balled in mine (west coast edition).
Cushioning is still very soft.

Hmm, my Blk/red pair didn't come with extra laces. The lace lock did work for me at all on them, so I end up cut them off and then you just couldn't tie the thin lace tight enough lol.

you talking about the crocs? those were horrible, terrible, awful basketball shoes. felt like I was hooping in church shoes. incredibly uncomfortable. nice to look at tho

and yea, was talking about the crocs (copper). my OG xvii had terrible lock-down and was uncomfortable at midfoot which caused hot spot every time i play in them. my carolina lows were great tho.
