Official Air Jordan XX9 post! 1st two released 9/6/14! NO BUYING/SELLING/TRADING!

The way they've kept these underwraps away form the internet blogs and instagram has me anticipating these for some reason.

It's done in most instances

We normally get leaked pics of the Lebron months before they come out

It's just not this big unveiling when we actually get to see it. I think they're going it this year to keep interest in the JB non retro products, because they haven't released anything besides the SE

I wish they would stream the unveiling live online, that would really draw more attention and hype.. We know how much JB love both of those things

I recently finally wore my xx8 black/electric greens on the basketball outdoor court to do sparring and shoot arounds, as i only wore them casually so far.
i must say, despite both sides zoom unit are popped for many months ago, hey still gave me a good court feel. But because the outsole is quite soft and thin, i wont wear them outdoor too often as im sure they will wear out very fast.

i hope that the xx9 will be similar in terms of performance but constructed with better durability than the xx8. Also, i hope they dont look boring.

They do an unveiling and have done every year since the 2009. Nothing new here...

Would love to see them follow Apple's lead and do that. Put the video up on nike.com and let the world see whats going on. I actually wish they would do this w/ most big announcements. Kobe, KD, Lebron and any really big announcements. They could do like 3 a year and get even more hype.
 
If it has that digital looking ele print like those invitations it's a 99% chance of looking stupid imo.

Did you prefer to keep them rather than send   them back? I really like my black/green and would be devastated if they popped

Yes. Because of several factors:
1. I live in germany where all black/electric greens 28 in my size sold out within a few hours at nike.de.
2. So i had no choice but to order at eastbay.com and pay the custom tax
3. I love the black/electric greens a lot. And i know that if i send them back to eastbay.com, i won't get this colorway again anyway.
4. The flattened out fore food zoom units are not too big issue to me as long they are wearable abd dont fall apart.
But indeed the amazing feel is gone and now reduced to an average good cushioned basketball shoe.

Def xx9 same print on the cloth he cuts as in the invite. Italian accent made in Italy, hand made, I hope the bag is part of it!
 
Video reminds me of the campaign they rolled out for the XVII. Always thought that was classy with the jazz theme, and the suitcase & Accessories. This clip looks even more elaborate in terms of luxury and quality however! Really excited to see what they look like and the materials they'll use.
 
"Let's save these for the playoffs," says R. Westbrook in the video. So it's a late-than-the-usual-RD release for the XX9, not next season as we thought it would for quite some time now. Funny, though, that JB has a playoff edition for the XX8 SE.

Could be?? Maybe JB saw a huge marketing opportunity to have Westbrook debut these in the playoffs? Definitely gets tne hype train rolling...
