Official Air Jordan XX9 post! 1st two released 9/6/14! NO BUYING/SELLING/TRADING!

Probably cuz there's no heel zoom fam. It really helps me get less knee pain when I play like 3 to 4 hours. Right now I'm balling in the 28s but the also play in Zoom Soldier 6s which also have heel zoom. Both comfy ball shoes with good heel cushioning which is my preference. Even though you don't feel the heel zoom on the 28s its still does its job with great impact protect for your knees.

If it turns out to be the lack of heel zoom, I will see about stocking up on several XX8's for the rest of the XX9's run. It helps that the XX8's are on sale all over the place too.

I ran into the same knee pain problem with the xx9s. I have no such issues with the XX8s and most shoes with reasonable cushioning. I'm back to playing in the XX8s and will likely stock up on them and get some Lebron 12s if they perform well...

Finally got around to the the 29's and the lack of heel zoom is a deal breaker for me as well. Wore the 28's and had knee pain every time I wore them, tried Kobe's and the Lunarlon had me sore in all joints as well after playing. Only thing I seem to be able to wear is the LeBron 10 regular or Elite. I was really sold on the team Orange, but wearing these made me feel like I had on Air Jordan 1's (cushioning, support wise)

You're right, the regular XX8's are much harder to find on sale. I was able to find a couple of colorways on sale at my local HoH a few months ago. The Why Not's and the DTRT. I also doubled up on the Bamboos since they let me use my VIP coupon. My Crimson Red's were picked up on discount from a Nike Outlet and I hope to find another pair soon.

speaking of OG XX8 i would love a pair of grey cements, bamboo, carbon fiber, and the black/volt

i guess I took "all over the place" different than how you meant it

good luck on your search

just for perspective, the xx8 never released any cw in any store in sydney, australia.

not one.

i hate jb for that.

update on my half size up TO after playing in them today completely tighten the lace front to back; i cannot believe how comfortable these are even when they are tight. you really cannot feel any pinch point at all from the laces and also no more slip in the forefoot as previous wear when i didn't completely tighten them.

Man, I really want a pair of these but I'm not really feeling any of the upcoming CW's.

eBay seller columbus1410 has gym reds for $180 shipped. Just a heads up. Plus eBay bucks certificates came out today.

I think prolly the case here with xx9 is that jordan brand has designed them for russell westbrook all the while to keep weight and cost down and the result is a shoe that prolly just doesnt work for heavier guys or heel strikers. Im a heavier guy and i have issues with certain shoes...namely all jordan brand without air or good cushioning in the heel and especially all jordan brand shoes with crash zone under heel. A lot op ppl say it is like zoom...if ur a heavier player its CLEARLY not and im not imagining it. Cp3.vi, cp3.vii, superfly.2 all feel like my heel is sinking while my forefoot is not. This is not a nice feeling worst case overstreached arch best case aching heels. Feels like crap when u try to take off hard to sprint off and transfer all that force to the floor and my heel sinks to the floor and there is that moment u sort of dont go anywhere almost decellerate sort of. I have plantar fasciitis in my left foot also have issues with shoes without really good shanks (superfly.2 flight plate actually bends downwards i have kinks in the shoe upper to prove it which does hurt my feet sometimes). Carbon fibre is gone now so im not confident in the flightplate on xx9 not bending cos of my superfly.2 experience. Ppl say about the flightplate energy return springback...that statement tells me its bending. I have seen kick genius video where there pushing xx9 on slides and ther foot has basically slid over the side edge of the outrigger reeally badly and easily compared to other shoes they test. imagine if they were 220-240lb? Im also concerned about the heel cup. All my best lightweight shoes have a stiff heel cup which gives structure, 1-1 movement, helps support immensly when u sacrifice structure for lighweight or u might end up with something which can be a bit floppy. Xx9 apparenty does not have much heel support And the tearing of the shoes well what can i say. Jordan brand looks to be making a specific airj for a specific type of player not for a wide variety like they used to it appears. I have the airj2012 and man they are indestructable almost. fully stable with flywire/leather/huge flightplate of carbon fibre which totally cups the foot locks u down bigtime and the air max/articulated zoom insole kicks for larger players, excellent traction which was almost dust proof grip and they were low to ground with excellent court feel but the sacrifice is they are on the heavier side. Ill keep playing in them i have two pairs i wont be buying xx9. For me the most consistantly good performing shoes overall for me the past 3 years is the melo line. M8,9,10 all were really good. Not perfect all designed to a budget (except the m10) but i had no issues. I also think like one of the other pps said it seems jordan are going backwards instead of forward in terms of materials/tech. I mean hyperdunk 2011 had 3d carbon fibre shank, zoom for and heel, flywire. Hd 2013 zoom pods that eventually sink sink flywire and flimsy plastic arch support may as well not be there. Cp3.v flywire & podulon fore and heel. Cp3.vi no flywire podulon only in forefoot. Air j 2012 well that had everything. Compared to xx9. I actually like the older shoes but the newer ones didnt work for me notwithstanding the xx9 cos i wont be risking buying them. Definitely a trend there i believe nyways

@franky  I've played in many, many shoes with different types of heel support.  You don't need a visible heel cup to have good support.  Since playing in these XX9s, that is not an issue whatsoever, lockdown is just about as good as it gets.

Also -- how many instances have you seen of the shoes tearing?  In that KickGenius video, he had a small tear at one of the lace loop eyelets.  I'm not saying this is OK, but it isn't like people are sliding their feet right through this shoe.  I find the upper to in fact be very strong, especially in the areas where you need as JB had intended.  I know some people are mad about a lack of heel zoom, and while it would be nice, I have not found that to be an issue.  This heel phylon is not the type that's going to break down quickly either.  Personally think JB did an excellent job with this shoe and it plays amazing.

What are ebay certificates? And is there anyway i can buy like an ebay gift card?
I think it's a sort of like a cashback type service for eBay purchases where you earn credit towards other eBay purchases at a certain percent
