Official Air Jordan XX9 post! 1st two released 9/6/14! NO BUYING/SELLING/TRADING!

^^^Guys. Nba players switch shoes during games. The shoes don't work for Aiya and I'm sure he's not the only one to have issues with playing in them.

This. I switch all the time to get a different feel or if I play all day I will go to a more cushioned shoe after a couple if hours. Never hurts. May just be individual preference or case.

True but im willing to bet atleast 90% or more ofNBA players use expensive custom orthotic inserts in their shoes specifically to combat and prevent these types of issues.

so if the trend continues, it looks like they will be dropping a new colorway from each upper every month.

sept - team orange, gym red
oct - pink fusion, white/black
nov - infrared, black/white

hopefully we will see some new ones soon. I sure woud like to see these on ID asap..

The best alternative to the XX8 is the Super Fly 2, even more so than the XX8 SE IMO.
Maybe it'll be the same for the XX9 if they don't come ou with a lower priced version.

They'll never be on ID buddy

I'm officially done with the XX9 as an on court sneaker. For the second time, I swapped them on after playing most of the night in XX8's and now my knee is hurting. This doesn't happen when I just wear the XX8's. Maybe the sudden change in cushioning? Either way, I don't like the less bouncy feeling. I stocked up in XX8 SE's to last me through the season.

Honestly I don't think that has anything to do with the shoes. It means you probably played too long. I see people playing 3-4 hrs without rest and complain about joint soreness. They just don't give themselves time to rest.

Hell, as much as I complain about the Kobe 9 cushion it has never given me a sore knee until last night except for the fact that I went bowling the previous night which probably contributed to most of the soreness.

You could be right. Regardless of whether or not the XX9 caused it, I will stick with the XX8 for now since I prefer the unlocked zoom in that shoe better.

Highly doubt we'll see a low version of these.  They essentially play like a low already too

They look more like a mid though, nevertheless gonna take a break from the FK Kobe 9 lows and see if I can get a pair of RW's this weekend. Anxious to try out a pair of XX9's for myself.

i wonder how close the melo xi is gonna be to the xx9 like how the melo x was to the xx8 se
from the black 'prototype' or what not he was wearing on media day and few practices they don't look anything like the xx9 and probably will use a different sole/midsole.

Whatever the midsole/outsole I really can't see them removing the zoom from the heel in his shoes

Just got a pair in the mail today and played with them for the first time.  To me, they are definitely a step forward and a step back.  The upper and the traction are ridiculous.  I played in the 28's for the last year and that was definitely the first thing I noticed.  Breathability is pretty solid, didn't notice my foot getting to sweaty.  I can see what some people are saying about their joints hurting, but I don't think It has anything to do with the lack of heel zoom.  I think it is more to due with the forefoot zoom than anything.  The forefoot definitely does not have as much bounce as the 28's and is noticeably harder, but that is probably due to the lack of durability on the 28's.  These seem to absorb a lot let impact than the 28's did, but again, that is probably due to the massive amount of durability problems with the 28's.  If you would combine the bounce of the 28's with the traction and upper on this shoe then you would have a perfect basketball shoe.
