It's gotta be the aesthetics because the yearly Jordan model is usually rated as top 3 in performance review (with varying ratings in 2010-2012), but I see WAAY more lebrons (similar price point) being worn by the kids nowadays.  Anyway, the XX9 has some of the most buzz in a while - and some of the CWs have been very nice looking shoes.  I'll bet that this is a shoe that people will want a retro of in 10-15 years.

yeah but kids are seeing Lebron wearing Lebrons and Westbrook wearing the XX9s, which athlete's shoe do you wanna wear when put into that perspective?

That's true. I sometimes forget that Westbrook is the shoe's ambassador. I'm sure they could do a Forest Gump thing or make animated commercials with his airness. They'd just need him to do voice acting. I dunno. The 2011, 2012, XX8 and XX9 just seem low key. Great on court performance which matters but they definitely dropped the ball aesthetically and from a marketing perspective. You got people selling the GoF XX9 for $100-$150 lol. All they wanted was the 11s.
 
Westbrook's total blackout pair look nice, not into the orange laces on them though. Would have gone with black on the laces...

the YOTG on one of the only 3 I like.....seems I like all the ones people don't, RW, GR, YOTG I don't I like the diff styles and colors on those 3, the rest are a pass IMHO now if only they'd throw the RW on sale already

well considering they sold the XX9s for an extra $25 or even $50 if the Legends were only $200. They got what they wanted out of moving those XX9s in the GOF pack. Resell/secpndary market being $100-$150 is a great thing for those who actually want the XX9 or will put them to use. Hell thats what kinda price im looking for on the blackout pair lol


My question is, supposedly these are an improvement to the XX8 which the shroud pair was $2xx .. SEs were same tech at $150 .. what in the XX9 brought on the extra $75. Or were the SEs just luck for the consumer?
 
Weren't shroud XX8s $250? So they reduced the price $25.

But imo, they should've launched at $200. I just don't see anything that justifies the high price. You can lie to me about premium Flyknit material.

As far as the BHMs go, I like the XX9 second. The Kobe's were simple but great execution like the FK racer B&W.

I think it was just luck for the consumer the xx8s were $250, the shroud must have cost $100

 I think with the xx9s we're paying for the tech kinda like how the Kobe flyknit is $200-275 depending on which one you get and although flyknit is cool I like the xx9 weave better
 
Wish I would have picked up the bhm had them in my cart that price tag just turned me away so I walked away

I think I just got a peek at the all stars, not sure the credibilty of this pic, trying to get the photo from the source ( I saw it, usually his info and leaks are accurate). White upper, oversized shiny foil or chrome jumpman, chrome or foil (very shiny) midsole. Clear bottoms. black laces, black lining.

Underwhelmed, but it goes with the others.

not feeling the allover print on the BHM. the jumpman is sized better but I want to see them sized where it justtt fits on the shoe like as big as possible but still fully visible. and I also want to see them both facing forwards like on the 7s/older 11s, 9s, etc. I think that would look a lot better.

So sick of them slapping clear bottoms on everything.
 
Been playing in the new bred colorway. Months ago I was originally underwhelmed with the price and my playing experience in the team orange XX9s compared to my XX8s. The more I play in the XX9s the more I appreciate the improved fit, transition, court feel, and new cushioning set up. I'm going to have to pick up some more colorways if the price ever drops on NDC or at my local Niketown. If not, I'll try out the Melos for $65 less.
