SMH ....

BMW making cars for broke dudes that want a brand ...

LMAO

Ummm, this is pretty much the 1-Series coupe, they just renamed it a 2-series so this is nothing new.

And the 1M is arguably one of the best drivers car made, people still rave and crazy for them ever since they stopped making them.

Right so isn't that the new game plan

1 Series = 4 door
2 series = 2 door (old 1 series coupe)
3 series = 4 door
4 series = 2 door (old 3 series coupe)
5 series = 4 door
6 series = 2 door
7 series = 4 door

and i thought there was talk of like a possible 4 door 6 series with some "Grand Touring" tag or something.

2 series = 2 door (old 1 series coupe) - 4 door coupe

6 series = 2 door - 4 door coupe
7 series = 4 door

fixed

4-series is getting a grand coupe like the 6-series, which just seems redundant since the 3-series is already a damn sedan.

Not to be confused with the GT that has an ugly and confused look.

Also, the 2-Series looks awesome... The 3/4 series has gotten too big and 80's 3 series look like sub compacts in compression...

I like it too, it looks less of a bathtub like the current gen, then again I've always preferred small compact sport cars.

repped for the updates i remember hearing it in passing

does seem a little redundant to have a 3 series with 4 doors and a 4 series with 4 doors. I wonder how they will differentiate design

It should look like a smaller and short 6-series gran coupe, key words are "it should" but from the spy shots, it is a bit hard to differentiate from the current 3-series. It's hard enough to differentiate a 3-series from a 5-series at first glance, now they are making another similar looking one that I do not even see anyone demanding for. They should have made the back more of a fastback.

Everything said there is very true...

Contrary to NT logic, small cars are not just for broke people who want to stunt for IG likes. Large cars/trucks can be overkill. My girlfriend has a Fiat 500 and it's really good for city driving because it can dodge potholes easily and fit into small parallel parking spaces. The Fiat isn't bad, but if you want a more "luxurious/prestigious/exclusive" small car then these smaller BMW's and Mercedes vehicles are just right.

Don't even try and explain logic to some of these dudes.

In their mind it's M3/M4/M5/M5/760Li ONLY!

Everything else is simply badge flossin.

Not a fan of the new numbering scheme, but that's no matter. This car looks great and more importantly should drive wonderfully. Im certainly eager to see more.

Lol cosign that. The guys that subscribe to that philosophy are typically the guys that are barely keeping there head above water trying to afford the payments anyways.

I'm a die hard BMW fan and I love what they are doing with it...reminiscent of the days of smaller BMWs like the E30 and the E36, true driver's cars

I wanna see the C Class refresh more than this. Along with that a new C Class coupe. Benz had a recent teaser.

It is suppose to be look like a smaller last gen SClass but from the spyshots, I just do not see it.

BMW is also supposed to bring back the 8 Series also right?

I wonder if they're going to have M versions of all the classes or just keep it M3 M5 and M6.

I don't think an M2 will come out, the 1-series only had the 1M, which isn't exactly an M car per say. It's the same with the Z4, it really only has an M-Sport version, no actual M car for the current gen maybe in the next.

For some reason, they can't get the 8-series off the ground but they do have the i8 coming and that is probably the closest you'll get to an 8-series for the time being.

From what I saw of the 1M, was they took an old M3 engine, and slapped it into a 1 series, and added a few M features like mirrors and bodykit.

I'm going to assume that they will do the same as a limited run for someone looking for a bit more than a 235.
