My 2011 135i was the best car I've ever had.

My current 3 series feels sluggish and bloated by comparison.

I'd love to see a RWD 4-door 1-series, as I think it would bring back the spirit of the original 3-series. But from everything I've read BMW is gonna try to reduce costs and make the 1-series FWD.  YEA, that's right...a FWD bmw.

Making a hideous car with a non-bespoke M engine limited does not make it a future classic. There is nothing classic about that hideous excuse for an M car.

Why not just preface your post by saying you don't have a clue what you're talking about?

The 1M is one of two future BMW classics (the other being the E46 M3 CSL). Prices have held very steady and there simply aren't many cars available to buy, as the majority of them went to BMW collectors. For diehard BMW fanatics, the 1M represents a successor to the E30 M3 and that is why they are so coveted.

With regards to the 2-Series, it looks gorgeous and I'm sure the M2 will be a hoot to drive. I'm not a fan of the 4-Series AT ALL and think the 2 is much nicer. I'm also not a fan of what BMW has done with their nomenclature, but that's whatever in the grand scheme of things. It's just great to see BMW getting back in their groove.

Oh, new C-Class interior:

this will be a future classic that you'll never see sell below 40G in good condition...

The non-bepoke engine means nothing... No one will aruge that the original M1 was a classic and that engine got used in a ton of cars... Everything that I've ever read said the car was a fantastic drive.... It was powerful too... 370 lb-ft is no joke in a car that size...

I saw M1 on the street not too long ago. Looks like the world's most epic go kart.

If you see a M1 in person and don't wanna drive it, you have no soul(or don't care about driving).

exactly

that's crazy high.

You can get one for like 60-70k in various african countries.
A lot of it is from the Taxes, but the BMW dealer in HK gives no dambs and charges whatever. The x3 for whatever reason is only barely cheaper than the x5.

new TT, yep, waitin on that also :smokin

is it just me...................

but i think the car industry overall is AWESOME right now, 2015 is gonna be a real nice look

across the board new refresh, models are coming out

I am loving where the car industry is right now, we are at such a special time.

We got the FRS/BRZ that is an affordable sports car that can carve the streets like a scalpel.
We got a ZL1/GT500 that you really can't beat when it comes to HP to price ratio.
We got beautiful and fast sports cars in the GTR, R8, 911 Turbo, etc.. and more are coming.
We spaceship like supercars in the Veneno, Aventador, P1, 458, etc...
We got new techs in electric, hybrids and fuel saving gas/diesel engines.
We got the luxury essentials and more if you got the cash.

There are just something for everyone. I love it!

Looks good. Interested to see the pricing....

The M-1 will be what the E30 is today. A extremely valued car.

I want to add to that list that car manufacturers also seem to embracing smaller vehicles (smaller footprints), which I have always been a fan of. Most notably is the expansion of Fiat.

If i wasn't self-conscious about being seen driving a Fiat, I would totally drive a Fiat

It's definitely a great time, but it's also sad to know that raw sports car now cease to exist due to heightened regulations regarding safety, fuel economy, etc.

HP power is still at an all time high though, ZL1 and GT500 still give 500+hp for $55k and those actually handles well too for what it is. New Stingray is looking like a bargain too.

I really do nit mind the safety requirements/improvement though, ive seen plenty of my friends carsh, hell i totaled a corolla going 80 in a freeway and only had scrape and bruises, no broken bones thank god.

Plus some of these cars are way too strong for the general public and there are too many people out there not capable of handling it so any safety upgrades is good in my book.

thanks to obama....its ite, as soon as we get a new prez im sure da cafe laws will be rolled back once it shows people aren't buying those

expensive hybrids.

^You couldn't be further from the truth. Emission regulations will continue to be the norm'. That's why you have this on-going transition period of rebates, tax incentives, reduced insurance rates for those that can afford hybrids now. This is is simple & basic economics until hybrids become the standard...

It will drop below 40k for a good condition version but one with low milage ( 5k Max) will always be around retail or above.

I have seen 3 M1 in person, most people in Canada just went with a M3 since they were charging the same price for both in Canada

ha..thats called income redistribution, someone pays for all that.

go see whats going on in Australia..emisson standards and all this climate change chicken little mentality is already being rolled back.

once fracking really takes off and da keystone eventually gets approvaed and energy gets cheaper hybrids sales will continue to sink like a rock.

da US ain't about that small car life.

da best selling automobile here is STILL da F-150.

im willing to predict after 2016 da cafe laws get looked at again rolled back because they're too draconian...54.4 MPG is gonna make cars small tin can

overpriced jalopys, and used car prices will continue to rise as people continue to hold on to their cheaper alternatives.

That's actually called a "Sign of the Times"...

Hybrid sales won't sink, but their prices will become more affordable. You're right in one aspect though. The U.S. isn't about that small-car life. We're an abundant blue-collar workforce & the need for utility vehicles will always be a factor. Did you not "Google" about Ford's complete engine overhaul (aside from the Raptor) in 2011? They haven't perfected this transition yet, but they're not trying to meet bare-minimum requirements. It was suggested that their new EcoBoost trim for 2014 or 2015 would be sufficient enough to meet CAFE standards until 2025. Considering GM is also going in the same direction maximizing their small-block V8, there is absolutely no cause for a revert back to where we once were...

I agree that the US isn't exactly the compact car world they are trying to push, it's that mentality of we get more with more size. Works the same way with anything in the US really, especially with food, the bigger the serving for the least price is the one that people go after.
