BMW 2-Series Coupe - Official Pics and Specs - M2 Revealed

Car looks like it's going to be amazing to drive.

I'm just not sure how I feel about that rear end design

. I guess I'm one of the few that though the Bangle era was a beautiful rear end design era.

Looks amazing. I wonder how big it is... looks comparable to the E46. My only gripe with the 1-series and it looks like it has carried over to this model is the high beltline. I found it to be uncomfortable to be so low in the cabin with such a high beltline, but that is just my personal preference.

Can't wait for photos of the M2.

Looks real good. Especially compared to the last 1 series coupe. I hope they drop the price a little to compete with the CLA. Currently a similarly priced 135 coupe with M sport is approaching $45k. Entry level 128i starts at $31.5.

CLA is FWD

The 2-series will be RWD just like the past gen 1-series.

New 2 definitely reminds me of the e46 coupe. If I wasn't 6'2 I would definitely be driving a sapphire black 135i with M sport

50:50 weight distribution

Specs seem comparable to the e36 m3. 50:50 weight distribution, 240 hp, 0-60 5.5 sec, 3200 pounds. 19/27 mpg

That and the euro e36 m3 with 321hp.

BMW has given the M235i Racing the wide-body treatment with a track that has been stretched by 3.5 inches. Under the hood, the 3.0-liter turbocharged inline six-cylinder receives a power boost from a stock 322 horsepower up slightly to 333 hp, while other modifications include a full FIA roll cage, a racing fuel tank and a limited slip rear differential.

The M235i Racing replaces the M3 GT4 as BMW's factory racer, and it will be priced at 59,500 euros (close to $80,000), which is about as affordable as a factory-prepped racecar can get.
