Did Ricky Rubio live up to the hype?

Not too many T Wolves games broadcasted where I am. I remember the hype around him was huge before he got drafted. I see his highlights on Youtube sometimes. Is he as good as people thought? Or just another Yi Jianlian
 
with his skill set and the way he plays i think he's going to be this generation's jason williams (but of course not as nice as the god)
 
He will never be what some people thought ( superstar ) but he will be a decent/good player
 
dude is an amazing passer, isnt that what people expected from him?

hes got a long career to go, if he stays healthy and keeps working he could be a steve nash lite kinda.
 
When he hasn't been injured, he has pretty much done what everyone has expected him to

Can someone explain the hype that he had?

I mean I know he's young, but he averaged 9 points and 3 assists in Euroleague.

But so far he's been a serviceable point guard in the NBA and he's very fun to watch.

This. Dudes were talking about one of the best big PGs ever and all sorts of stuff. I like his game though and want him to flourish.
 
He already is one of the best pgs in the league :pimp: he will never be a rose or Westbrook but he's a true pg and always looks to pass first.. :pimp:
 
Yea I remember hearing his the best pg in Europe not in the nba but since he's gotten here he hasn't really shown his full skill set its still too early to tell

Did people really post that stuff? If they did then those are the people you ignore. He's what people thought he would be. A really good passer who is flashy.
 
Give these young players a chance.

This is just like John Wall. They both are only 23 and have had a few injuries and people are judging them like they played 10 years in the league already.
