Reebok The Rail, Glenn "Big Dog" Robinson signature is back for the first time

The first OG colorway of the Rail is set to release early next year, a few other OG ones will follow probably in the first/second part of the year as well. From what we can see on the images, this retro will be almost exactly the same as the original, all black visually textured nubuk with green underlays and purple overlays, black and purple outsole/midsole. All that representing the Milwaukee Bucks jersey colors that Mr.Robinson was representing in the mid 90's.

Cushioning is done with Hexalite on forefoot, heal and heal lateral side as well.

Release date - 01/31/14

Color - Black/Purple-Olive V54958

Release price - $100

Via - SC

I personally plan to cop all the OG colorways, considering the price and the quality of materials is a no brainier.

Boy those pics take me back to jr. high school. I remember a friend of mine really liked Robinson so I would trade him all the rookie cards I came up on. He even had those Reebok shoes, I hope wherever he is now he manages to see these retro shoes

It is a damn shame that Reebok does not employ you in some form or fashion. I had these joints when I was 11 - I hope they get re-issued again.

the problem is i always plan to get certain kicks then i wait for them to go on sale and forget about them.i was super pumped for the veer retro over the summer still havent picked up  a pair.im diggin these but by the time i remember to buy these they probably wont have my size.

Thanks for the kind recognition fam, there are not a lot of Reebok models that I don't know, as you said I wish there were people at Reebok that know as much as I do and care as much.

According to Kicks on Fire, these drop on the 31st of this month. I won't pick up right away, but hopefully I can get the Black/Purps on sale at some point.
 
those actually look pretty cool. never really checked for these back in the day but i can appreciate the design now

they probably will go the way of the scrimmage though if not limited
 
Yeah if they are not limited I am expecting a good price drop, but being a Reebok fanatic I plan to cop on release day, with some coupons off course. 
 Don't really remember the Ice Picks, but those are incredibly cool.

The IcePick was a badazz looking shoe back in a day and very comfortable too.

Why pre-order Rise, some folks are already having them on sale out there. NK is right, I fear those will not get enough love from the kids out there and that is a shame, there will be some heavy discounts despite the fact they are somewhat limited.

I think what you're saying is more about the public being fixated on all things bearing the Jumpman & Swoosh, rather then the product itself. I've pre-ordered the Rail OGs because I actually remember watching him on court in these and I want to make sure I have them in my collection. To me, that is WAY more important than waiting around for "heavy discounts" that may or may not actually happen.
