Majid Jordan, The Space Between, AOTY Out Now! Vol. OVO Sound

Song is fire as hell, gives me an oldschool R&B vibe. Canada is doing their thing with bringing some real R&B back, not saying that real R&B isn't out there but just a lot of quality is coming out from Canada. Since I'm talking about R&B from Canada you guys should check out this new artist called DVSN, he's affiliated with Nineteen85 who is one of OVOs producers.

These are the only songs, known to the public, that are out. :frown: Dude is FIRE though. :pimp:

Ever since they played that dude dvsn on the ovo radio I've been following his soundcloud pretty close

With me is so hard, I absolutely love the old samples and vibes from his music.

Learn From Each Other the first song. :pimp: Been playing that out though lol, CDQ quality will have me eargasming.

1st Interview

NY Times

After about six months, Mr. Al Maskati and Mr. Ullman hit upon the demo that would become “Hold On, We’re Going Home.”

“I gave it on a USB to Drake, and he drove home to it that night,” Mr. Al Maskati said. “When I showed up at the studio the next day, it was tracked. 40 threw his arms up like: ‘We got it! We got the hit!’”

Mr. Shebib recalled, “They didn’t even realize the impact of what they had just done.” He added that the smash single was a “motivating experience — the first thing they wanted to do was run back to the studio and try to do it on their own.” (Majid Jordan found early success again with work on Beyoncé’s “Mine,” also featuring Drake.)
