Non-Apple Laptops?

hey nt, can anyone recommend me a laptop. time to replace my old pc desktop that i still use. im just gonna use it for basic surfing, typing, work, videos, music, etc. preferably, light weight and not too bulky. looking to spend around 4-5 hundred if possible. any good sites i should be checking out (newegg, bestbuy, etc).

i already have a tablet, so im not sure if i want to get those 2in1 type devices. even though, im kinda impressed with lenovo yoga

$5500-$600 laptops at CNet

Not sure what sort of a notebook your gonna get for $400, good laptops are usually quite a bit more.

Why are you against the idea of a Macbook?

cost. im just looking for something portable, and that i can use to do some work and surf the net on and has decent battery life. pretty much basic stuff. i already got a work computer for all that stuff
