NFL Week 9 In Review...

buc em buc em can you start giving us your weekly picks/predictions? Seems like youre always wrong this year and im sure some of us can fade them and make some money

Ivory stayed hurt in NO. Saints involved him as much as his body let them involve him.

Meh...he was definitely hurt a lot but even when he was healthy they'd never involve him unless there was an injury or two to the guys in front of him.

I think he got his fair shot in '10...'11, you're not taking snaps away from Sproles or Thomas with how well they were playing splitting the work...'12 I could maybe see but they were involving Sproles heavily...

I still don't understand how Miami let a piece of **** like Ingonito become a team leader. This dude been wild since he was in STL. Martin shouldn't let somebody get under his skin to the point that he leaves the team but maybe he has some other issues or something, iono.

Case Keenum really brought some life back to that team and in the stadium. They looked like a whole different team. In the end though Andrew Luck and TY burned 'em. Texans fans might have to get used to seeing that, just like how 18 was killing 'em for years.

Ain't no quit in AP. :pimp:

Ivory ran that hard partly because NO is his former team. I'd be surprised if he eclipses 100 yards rushing regularly.

Ravens are so goddamn terrible right now.. we don't do anything right on either side of the ball. Defense is nonexistent. Running game nonexistent. Marlon Brown was a bright spot at least

It's crazy to think that we won the Super Bowl earlier this year and now we are losing to the Browns :x :smh: and looking to miss the playoffs. There is a quick turnaround in this league

Heard on the radio that six of the Chiefs' nine games have been against back up QBs

Also heard a Cowboys fan call in and say he thinks Romo is betting on games because there's no way this guy has that much bad luck

cowboys-great win. looking like the team to beat in the nfc east and maybe the nfc. We've stood toe to toe with every team we've played and have lost three games by a combined 5 points.

lucky game by foles

indy looking good.

other then that nobody impressed me yesterday. lot of sloppy wins by teams that shouldve blown out their opponents...

Really? He ran hard as hell as a Saint. When he had opportunities to fill in, I wanna say he got two 100 yard games.

A lot of guts for the Bears to go for it on 4th and inches in Packers territory on that last drive.  They played to win.

Yep.

Keep falling back on the excuse that Rodgers was out...but that defense is to blame. You don't let up a 9 minute drive on your home turf when you need the ball back.

We had zero pass rush. Corners arent covering well. Mcnown made some throws but had a lot of open WR to hit. That's where the OLB injuries are hurting us.

Hard to call that an excuse.  For better or worse Rodgers make this team look way better than it is.

Jets
Thought we were gonna get smacked TBH, but believe me, I'm perfectly fine with the way the game panned out. Can't believe they ran a reverse on 4th and inches. WHO does DAT (see what I did there...)

-Our front 7 > yours :x
-Secondary actually played very well. 3 picks off of Brees (only 2 counted though)
-Poison Ivory  Dude ran hard, hoping he he can keep it up
-Kerley left the game and we had guys like Zach Sudfeld and Greg Salas making big catches. That's what needs to happen in the absence of players
-Cribbs looks like he is going to break out for a kickoff return TD any chance now

Always nice to go into the BYE off of a win. We continued the W/L pattern and now we get much needed rest and prep time to take on the Bills Week 11. We need to beat them soundly if we want to continue a potential playoff push. Coming into the season, that was definitely not a thought in anyone's mind. Now, it's a possibility :pimp: .

Bleacher report on the Chiefs:

In 2000, Trent Dilfer  of the Ravens was 20th in the league in Yards per Attempt among QBs who threw at least 200 passes. In 2002, Brad Johnson  was 19th. The Chiefs currently rank 31st, and that's only due to the pure havoc that Josh Freeman  wrought on the Tampa Bay passing game. Even if you think the Chiefs D is the equal of all-time greats like the 2000 Ravens or 2002 Buccaneers, they're being asked to do even MORE heavy lifting than those units due to KC's punchless passing attack.

Sweet, 7 days ago I couldn't find all the Jets fans, this week they loud.

Yes Amp, throw your FULL SUPPORT behind the coach that said publicly he wanted to injure another player, let that man represent you and your franchise, proudly. So you can come in here and throw stones at other franchises.

Like I said, I hope he gets a lifetime deal with you guys. You deserve him. Especially when the owner does things against his wishes, oh wait, you deny those things exist tho. I forgot.

Son you have WAY bigger issues to worry about. Is it that hard for you to ignore us Jets fans?

Your jimmies seem like they will forever be rustled

Yep.

I get that.

But saying they lost the game because he was out is not telling the whole story IMO.

No it's basically telling the whole story. Could our defense have played better? Sure. But if we put up 20 points from running the ball the entire game to lose only by 7 I think Rodgers could have made up for that. Our defense has been better this year but regardless of how bad they were Rodgers has masked that for years. No reason to think last night would have been any different. He marched down the field with ease the very first drive of the game. What's a real shame is that this was by far our best running game of the year and we couldn't see what Rodgers would have been able to do passing the ball while we were unstoppable running the ball. Something we've been waiting to see for a long time.

I'm simply not using Rodgers being out as an excuse cause the Bears were missing their starting QB as well. But to say Rodgers being out doesn't tell the whole story for last nights game is dumb. Rodgers has always been the entire story.
