m4 looks so much better
I thought the same thing but my salesman at the dealership knows his stuff. He asked if I wanted to be the first one at the dealership with one, and I politely declined. No way I'm paying that much. Especially myself not being that much of a Lexus fan. Could be priced MSRP lower and they have a markup on them for being so rare? That is kind of hard to believe and I would hate it if that were indeed the case.
The M4 starts ~$65k iirc with a 430hp twin-turbo I6, I have no idea why Lexus would price their 450hp V8 for $15k more unless this thing will just be a beast and actually cross that 500hp line or real close to it.
Lexus' 450HP RC F V8 Priced from £59,995 in the UK
In a poll we posted earlier this year, the BMW M4 won your vote over the Lexus RC F, but now it's time for people to put their money where they mouth is.
In Britain, the new RC F coupe is priced slightly higher than the BMW M4 Coupe (£56,635 for the manual, £59,135 for the DCT), with the base model starting from £59,995 and the Carbon edition from £67,995 OTR.
Both versions of the RC F are powered by a 5.0-liter naturally-aspirated V8 delivering "more than" 450bhp and 520Nm, matched to an eight-speed Sports Direct Shift automatic transmission driving the rear wheels.
Standard features across the range include 19-inch wheels, Brembo brakes, LED headlights, a 10-speaker multimedia system with DAB, DVD player, Remote Touch touchpad control and navigation, dual-zone climate control, Drive Mode Select, plus a raft of safety systems such as eight airbags, Lane Departure and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.
Other notable standard goodies include leather sport seats, front and rear parking sensors, electric steering column adjustment and keyless Smart Entry.
The RC F Carbon Edition adds a torque-vectoring differential, CFRP (carbon fibre-reinforced plastic) roof, bonnet and rear spoiler, unique 19-inch forged alloy wheel design, Alcantara upholstery and a higher-end Mark Levinson Surround Soundsystem.
600 Horsepower Lexus RC FS Coming in 2017?
More rumors from Motor Trend, this time regarding a special edition ultra-performance Lexus RC F:
In 2017 you can expect to see a super version of the RC F packing the 600-hp twin-turbo V-8. Think of it as an Infiniti Eau Rogue-fighter with a price tag to match — about $120,000. However, since Johan de Nysschen has left Infiniti, it’s doubtful the Eau Rogue will see the light of day. So think of the Super RC F as a C63 AMG Black Series-fighter. Seeing as how the Benz cost about $110,000 and “only” made 510 hp, $10K more for 600 hp (or more) makes sense.
We’re hearing RC FS as the name, with “FS” becoming Lexus’s answer to AMG’s Black Series and (Audi) Quattro GmbH’s RS.
The LFA V10 engine was a blessing and a curse — it made a statement that Lexus was serious about performance, but cost so much money that there was no way to use it another car.
Not for 70 doe. Pass
One unequivocal positive for the RC F is the way Lexus has priced it relative to its main competition from BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Audi (the Cadillac CTS-V Coupe deserves a mention here, too, even though it's on its way out the door). With a starting price of $62,400, the RC F undercuts the C63 AMG Coupe by $1,200, the M4 by $1,800 and the RS5 by a huge $8,500. Now, just exactly how that group would fare in a head-to-head performance comparison is open for interpretation – all are exceptional vehicles, to be sure – but I can say that the RC F belongs in the conversation, especially with that compelling sticker.

According to Autocar, sources have claimed that the GS F will hit markets in 2016, and that it will make use of a more potent version of the Lexus RC F's 5.0-liter V8 that will sing to the tune of 500 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission from ZF will be included, as will a Torsen limited-slip diff. Taken as a whole, the executive sedan should get to 60 in the mid-four-second range and accelerate to a top speed of 170 miles per hour.
