i was talking with a friend about how long it took cris carter

to get in

if andre gets 2,400 more yards that would put him about top 10 all time in receiving yards

he'll go to his 7th pro bowl this year

long career , model citizen with no off field problems

does he go in the hall of fame in your opinion?

also where does a healthy andre johnson rank in his prime with the all time greats?

this is a hypothetical of who affects the game the most with their skillset

in their prime 100% healthy.for just one game if you had a choice....no career numbers etc

personally

1.jerry rice

2.calvin johnson

3.michael irvin

4.randy moss

5.cris carter

6.andre johnson

Man Andre Johnson's been one of my favorite players since the Miami/Nebraska Rose Bowl.

We're talking the HALL OF FAME though. We letting off and on All Pros in now?

If he can stay healthy and produce without serious decline for another 5 years we can talk about it but come on man. It's perfectly fine to let a GREAT player be just that.

Andre's not even the best WR (or even undisputed top 2-3) of the last ten years.

edit: #80 must've got you +35 fantasy points this weekend too

No.If players like Tim Brown,Andre Reed and Art Monk have yet to reach the HOF then I don't see it for him.

if he gets in, it'll be on the basis of his HOF-worthy numbers but this one sets him above all.

believe it or not i dont think ive ever drafted him smh  ..but i think the fact that he's endured horrible quarterback play

and he stuck it out for the most part with texans could help his case.. i could see the

texans doing him a solid one year and let him join a contender but you right , im basing this post on another 2-4 pro bowl years

with a few deep playoff runs...he's got the size and skillset to play as long as terrell which would help his case statistically

I think he'll probably have to wait a while but I do think he'll eventually get in. The touchdown numbers will hold him back if anything.

This.

Dudes been a top 3 WR for the better part of his career.

I think he has the highest yards per game average at 85 at something like that, was dominate for a 3/4 year span and had been consistently good if not great his career.

Great guy off the field, does a lot of work for the Houston community.

First ballot? Doubt it, but i think he gets in for Houston's first HOFer :smokin

He definitely will be the first Houston Texan in the Hall of Fame. Had shacky QB play throughout the earlier part of his career but, he definitely won't wait long to make it in. He was/is as athletically gifted as TO and Randy.

How is Andre Johnson #5 over guys like CC, Holt & Bruce?

I think he'll eventually get it. As long as all those who earned it over him get in first.

He'll eventually get in. Purely on receiving yards, he's ahead of a good number of people who should be going into the HOF sooner or later, so there's no reason why he wouldn't go in.
