Damn, no love at all on NT for this album. Seems like the World Wide Web doesn't mess with Troy Ave but all my boys mess with his music. He's the opposite of J. Cole.

He insults other rappers, claims he's the king and savior of New York and then goes on to sell double plastic.
He just comes off as incredibly corny and arrogant without anything to back it up.

I think it's just cool to hate NY right now. People want to see NY rap continue to struggle. The biggest complaint I see about his music is he's too cocky. 90% of rap is being conceited and all that BS so it makes no sense

Troy reminds me a lot of Fab, 50 and Ma$e. I miss the old NY rap like a ************ and Troy is the only new kid that I can listen to. I randomly listened to the New York Album one day and I liked it way more than I expected. Then he had some good singles "Your Style" and "All About the Money"
This new album is cool, got some heat and doesn't have your typical NY beats. He could cut a few songs though, too many for me.

Disrespectful to who? The people he's talking about don't deserve any respect. What have they done? This isn't Jay-Z. Dudes will diss Jay, but then it's disrespectful to mention Kendrick or Vic Mensa. That makes zero sense.
