Teen Looking For Help Following Car Accident Shot Dead After Ringing Doorbell vol. Renisha McBride

I would expect charges soon but if the shooter was black and the victim white he would had been locked up

with a shotgun

for no reason

She was drunk and high and he shot long distance.....

So her blood alcohol level was twice Detroit's legal limit? Still doesn't make it ok to shoot someone. If a drunk girl was at my doorstep that late, the last thing on my mind would be drawing a gun on her. :smh:

Has there been any concrete evidence as to why the guy thought she was trying to break into the home?

Like...if she was trying to pry a window open or something...maybe I can understand him thinking she was trying to break in. But if she was just standing on the porch, knocking at the door...then how on earth does he think she was trying to break in?

Word. I'd be thinking about drawing something else.

maybe she was banging on the door loudly and possibly yelling.

basing it solely off dealing with girls who have consumed far too much alcohol for their body weight.

4am in Detroit, I can see why dude was shook. does not excuse firing and he should face charges, but I can't blame him 100%.

:smh: @ her driving with that alcohol percentage.

Well the alcohol probably was why she got in the accident in the first place.

I'd like to know what was she doing over that hour and did she have a phone. There's a lot of unanswered questions. I wonder if she was scared, because she was drunk and high and wanted it to wear off first.

But dude lied to the cops already. He didn't even call the police before he "accidentally" shot her like he said he did.

Shoot first and ask questions later. :smh:

Like I said, don't open the door and wait for her to leave like I did to dude in his draws. Let the cops handle it.

think someone is breaking IN TO your house...

what do you...

open the door? srs?

so glad this isn't in Florida. we been catching way too many L's lately.

dude in court looking TERRIFIED. he know he done goofed.

thats a terrible death man. shotgun to the face? thats sad.

Chick's BAC was three times the legal limit THREE HOURS AFTER the accident?

The silver lining of this dark cloud is that she can't get behind a wheel again.

Banging on a door and yelling isn't exactly a common practice for burglars.

You can't blame him? Really?

Again...I wouldn't blame him if she was CLEARLY trying to get INSIDE of his house by force. (I.E - trying to come thru a window)

Off topic - I had some people break into my car 3 times in one month a few years ago trying to get my radio. First time...they got scared off by the neighbors. 2nd time they got it. 3rd time - they figured my insurance had replaced it and were going to try and get another one but I had that heat ready. Cops showed up and said that if I would have fired that weapon...even though they came on MY property (driveway) that I would have been in the wrong. And this is with me KNOWING exactly what was going on...not acting on suspicion.

What kind of mentality is that to have??

She was reckless. Only a matter of time before she killed someone.

I have no pity for drunk drivers.
I'm definitely NOT excusing her for bring drunk behind the wheel as she could have caused even more serious damage to herself on others on the road with her reckless actions, and I don't think anyone else is as well.  Just wanted to put that out there.

However, a family lost a daughter that night for no good reason as it appears, so there is no silver lining for them.  That's the way I'm looking at it.  Your premise of "only a matter of time before she killed someone" is an assumption at best.

You're right. People that drive drunk only do it once. What was I thinking.
