When Are You Too Old/Mature To Be Fighting?

Haven't been in a fight in years. Don't feel like it's worth it unless someone does something to cause physical harm to myself, my wife, child, mother, etc. Not point in getin in a scuffle and riskin your life or freedom b/c some chump mad u bumped into him in a crowded club.

As u grow OP, your priorities start to change and you start thinkin differently. Not wanting to get into fights is apart of growth

Question....

I'm 24 ... Black... Dreads....

I haven't had a confrontation that came anywhereclose TK fighting in YEARS...

Do people not come at me cuz they think I'm terry cloth diaper soft?

Or because they are in fear of my potential squabble game...?

:nerd:

All I'm saying is I want my respect.

I never knew how important respect was until I started self reflecting this year and realized all the **** I let slide.

People most likely think I'm some *****. :smh:
maaaaan...

Ain't nobody worried about your toughness brah .

The sooner you realize no one is worried about you, the quicker you'll start to relaxt

The older you get the more you realize fighting isn't worth it unless like said by others, your life is in danger or the person puts hands on or makes threats to your family.

Assault charges are no joke and at this point I'm willing to press them against someone who starts unnecessary fights with me after I defend myself within the means of the law. Ill do everything possible to avoid it even going that far to begin with.

When you get older you try and avoid bars where you know stuff usually pops off at, and being around hot headed people.

I've met plenty of suburban, harmless black dudes with dreads in my previous jobs at engineering companies *shrugs*

anyway, I'm too worried about my career at this point to get into a fight. unless someone puts his hands on me, I'll walk away

oak cliff?

Pshhhh...

I swear they over state their "toughness"...

Its actually kind of nice.... Don't know why people want their hood to be ratchet...

I went down to oak cliff and was like "this I'd actually a pretty cool area"...

South Dallas / east Dallas / pleasant grove... Different story.

The second you realize how fast you can put somebody in the hospital, and how much money it is going to cost them for emergency services...

If you don't accidentally ruin someone's life in a fight, you could easily ruin their credit...

Never been in a real fight. Been punched in the face once and I sued the guy, as I intend to do with everyone else who lays hands on me.

Not about that fighting life.

Age doesn't really matter when you apply how old is too old to be fighting. it's all about maturity levels. I always avoid fighting, no one wins and most of the time people wanna fight over some dumb lame ****. As long as dudes don't get in my face and put their hands on me i always walk away. Only time i'll ever throw is in self defense or if someone disrespects or touches anyone in my family. I could care less if someone ran their mouth at me but if someone came up to my mom for example and started disrespecting her for whatever reason it's game over.

Haven't been in a fight in about 2 years (i'm 23). But living/working/going out in the city and fools want to try you every day.

Dude wanted to fight me on my way to work (at 8 am) because he almost hit ME in the damn crosswalk after running the red light. I fell back cuz I wasn't trying to fight nobody directly in front of my office building.

Fact is people are idiots. As a grown man you shouldn't be going around starting fights, but if you have to defend yourself, it is what it is.
