49ers
 ****ball playcalling and Kaep running to the left sideline throwing the ball away...
Exact problems from weeks 2-3
McDonald dropping that pass hurt my soul
*sigh*

That Panthers D is the goods
Props to Cam for makin plays when he needed too, that was a huge 3rd down conversion

:wow: AJ Green, but wtf was that 4th down?
Saints :x
Foles still cookin, that pick Tolzien threw in the endzone was terrible

what type of dumb logic is this?

I love Cam but he's not there yet; he didn't show up in a huge test but the D bailed him out yesterday

How is the truth dumb logic?

16-32 for 169 and 0 TDs

You won 10-9 my dude

That's an Alex Smith type game; believe I'm a big fan of Killa Cam but to say the jury isn't still out but he's getting there

^ you disrespect Cam and that guy will follow you around NT

Dan Patrick said it best. Cam is doing what Alex Smith is doing. Defense wins games, it's his job not to turn it over too many times.

I don't agree...  Cam's been playing very well overall, even though this particular game was a defensive struggle.

Some people (not you all, but in the media vein) will try and find any excuse to discredit Cam Newton.  I'm not a college football fan and I can't really say I understand how he became such a lightning rod.

Again, it bears repeating that the Panthers probably have the league's worst WR core.

I'm not discrediting Cam; he's beat mediocre teams and yesterday he could have taken a big step by taking it to the 49ers in a huge game; many QBs in this league coulda won that game

Well Colin Kaepernick is a young star, and he didn't win that game.

I get your point- the defense went in there and won that game.  But I don't think Cam deserves criticism for the way it played out.  As a young QB, you are happy to put those victories away.  I know Russell Wilson has taken plenty of them over the last couple years.

Kaep has won some pretty big games already

Believe me I'm a big fan of Cam but I need to see him win a big game when the defense is off

I don't think Cam's bad but he hasn't been impressive. He's gotta top 3 defense on his team and has played bad teams.

2013 stats
13 TDs, 8 INTs, 62% pct, 1900 passing yards. These are backup numbers. Alex Smith seems like a pretty good comparison to me

i dont get why people are offended by the notion that yesterday's performance didnt solidify Cam as an elite qb . no one said Cam is ****

agreed, let's not act like he lit it up. It was a Alex Smith game if I ever saw one, impressive TEAM win nonetheless. They shut the 9ers down

Eagles
- Another impressive game in nearly all phases (our kicker is awful :x). For the love of God PLEASE bring this momentum back to Philly
-Lesean got off his slump and ran down their throats
- Foles with two of the luckiest TD's ever but that "underthrow" to Cooper was awesome lol
- Desean Jackson having a career year with all the inconsistency at QB, earning that contract :smokin
- Brandon Boykin is turning into one of my favorite players on the team, he makes plays
- really hope the injuries to Peters, Kendricks and Wolff aren't serious :x
- this notion we're one of the worst defenses in the league is VERY misleading. Yards allowed means NOTHING if they don't score TD's and we force turnovers

Everyone Else
- props to the Jags for their first win
- Bengals 4th down playcall was awful, Marvin Lewis couldn't have an easier route to a division crown this year yet he wants to wet the bed
- Jay Cutler should not have been out there yesterday, if they don't make the playoffs it's gonna be a VERY interesting offseason for the team. Rebuilding mode?
- Broncos keep on trucking, Peyton taking some hits though :smh:
- only thing looking worse than the Falcons right now is Houston :x :x :x
- Packers are screwed without Rodgers, he's gonna come back early I'd bet on it
- was it just me or did someone at the NFL Redzone channel just LOVE that Steelers/Bills game. I felt like they showed the entire game :x
- Giants still alive for that 7 game win streak
- IDC about injuries, Sean Lee is one man. Cowboys got obliterated yesterday and I enjoyed seeing it :smokin

Seahawks:

-Sooo much criticism for "barely beating the Panthers", "barely beating the Rams", etc.  Only difference is that we actually did beat them, of course.

- Obviously a great win.  Our two biggest weaknesses have been pass-protection and (last two weeks) run defense. We played a team that can't rush the passer and can't run the ball.  That said, it looks like we might finally get healthy next week.

-Managing to win all these games missing our Center and both Tackles is a miracle.  If we can beat the VIkings and go into this bye I will love where we are standing.

Games I had some interest in:

-Andrew Luck
laugh.gif
.  I expect to see exactly zero articles commenting on that piss-poor game from him.

-Thanks Panthers!  Big fan of that team.

Etc.:

-Don't make me watch the NFC East anymore.  Schedule-makers PLEASE!!!

-Cardinals are flying under the radar!  Best defense in football based on advanced stats right now.  Give them a couple years....

-Foles didn't prove anything today.  I don't think he's the franchise starter- if you watched some of these throws you would NOT be impressed.

-Giants coming back just enough to push up the ticket prices for the Seahawks game in December.

-Bengals should be embarrassed losing that game.  That's anti-momentum.  Looks like another first round playoff lost coming, despite that all that talent.

-Congrats to the Jags!  I see Tampa winning tonight.

Teams set up to jump back into the conversation next year after a strong draft:

-Buffalo

-Texans w/ Keenum

-San Diego

-Arizona

Lost in all of the talk of how Tavon finally broke out...he still only had two catches on three targets. They still don't know how the hell to use him.

Andy Dalton. Horrible throws all day. Put us behind and we had to throw more to catch up. 50+ passes on the road against Baltimore is not a recipe for winning. Have to look at another QB in the offseason.

Marvin Lewis probably told them to go for it on 4th down, but y'all do realize that an offensive coordinator calls the plays right? Blame that on Jay Gruden.

On the other hand, defense looked great in the first game without Geno.

Bengals should be looking at the Ravens and realizing that mediocre QBs should never get big extensions.

I liked the decision to go for it on 4th, the playcall was just horrible.

It stings yesterday I finally benched him in fantasy and he went off

If Gio broke that run off like he did last Thursday we wouldn't even be having this conversation

This all.. All of this.. He was made for chip Kelly.. Fisher, do the right thing

How they he'll are we 5-1 on the road and 0-4 at home?!

Shady and desean having career years.. And we see you kkkooper, as someone said in the season thread "he really likes having one of his own throwing to him"

Rest of the league:

Until Jerry jones actually let's people do their jobs, the cowboys are screwed.. Pass up Payton for Garrett, then ryan gets fired for kiffin

Bengals wasting aj and gio

Curious to see how the dolphins come out tonight given the past week or so

Forgot a Colts point; I said it before losing Reggie Wayne is huge and not going after a WR at the deadline is gonna be their downfall

Those receivers can't separate when teams arent putting two people on Wayne
