Today, 13 November 2013, WikiLeaks released the secret negotiated draft text for the entire TPP (Trans-Pacific Partnership) Intellectual Property Rights Chapter. The TPP is the largest-ever economic treaty, encompassing nations representing more than 40 per cent of the world’s GDP. The WikiLeaks release of the text comes ahead of the decisive TPP Chief Negotiators summit in Salt Lake City, Utah, on 19-24 November 2013. The chapter published by WikiLeaks is perhaps the most controversial chapter of the TPP due to its wide-ranging effects on medicines, publishers, internet services, civil liberties and biological patents. Significantly, the released text includes the negotiation positions and disagreements between all 12 prospective member states.

Cliffnotes:
- The USA, UK, Australia, and a number of Asian countries (12 Nations total) have been secretly drafting a legislative proposal that would change international laws regarding patents, copyrights, trademarks, industrial design, AND [COLOR=#red]law enforcement.[/COLOR]
- The "Enforcement" section of this draft would pretty much trample over individual rights, civil liberties, internet privacy, and essentially destroy all creative commons licensing (creative, intellectual, biological, and environmental.) It allows for the use of "Secret evidence," and is essentially SOPA and ACTA combined.
- China AND Russia have both been purposefully kept out of the loop, and have not had any input on this proposal.
- The Obama Administration is getting ready to fast track this WITHOUT ANY DISCUSSION/AMENDMENTS, and Obama has already said he intends on signing it.
- Lobbyists (Chevron, Halliburton, Monsanto and Walmart) have just as much access to this bill as many US Congress members, if not more.

Reason why I hate Obama is dude promised so much and fooled the American public into thinking he was for the people etc. Dude did a complete 360 and has done nothing but take the power away from us. Truly hate him. Fed us with all of his Beautiful speeches made us believe in him.

I know this is just about every politician, but the reason why I'm feeling it most is because I'm just now old enough to be able to see a president go from his first day to his last and somewhat understand what is happening.

And I hope Hillary doesn't win. We just need another revolution.

Right, because they didn't look at his voting record, his stance on specific policies and racist rhetoric. He did it to himself.

IN 2008 if you're a naive young person as most of us were it was pretty easy to get caught up in the hype and believe all the good game BO was spitting about this being a new era.

Unfortunately these presidents and other politicians all end up being the same because the Democrats and Republicans serve the same masters.  In my opinion as long as we keep buying into the two-party system we will continue to be subject to tyranny.

With the NSA leaks and now this, the govement is just laughing at how much it gets away with, and how easliy they have people believe things. Every single thing is just a load of BS and people who wrap their lives around it will never see otherwise. Just enjoy life while it last i guess.

yes I fell into it B. I was like 12 and I believed that Obama was for the people. Boy am I glad I have learned otherwise since then.
 
Something needs to happen. Problem is that there are SO many people that are ignorant to what's really going on. So many distractions and wrapped up in their own lives. Anything can happen and most people aren't going to care.

At this point i don't know if there is any fixing, i mean we know that every single thing we do is being monitored, and for a small while it was a semi big deal, and now forgotten. Last year we got the sopa and cispa bills a little outcry then swept under the rug. Leaks through out all the years that have come out from wiki leaks got little talk and nationally also swept under the rug. All these events are just falling on blind and deaths ears.
