Above answers could work. But if the boots are too narrow there are really 3 options.
-Heat mold, although if you have ridden in them for a while now it won't really do anything since they have already formed to your feet.
-You can take the liner out, and shave down the outside area a bit of where you are getting the pressure points, will offer more flex in the area and loosen it up a bit.
- Look for new boots. Thirty Two's generally fit a little wider than Burtons. Just go to a shop and try several pairs on.
 
just did okemo on thurs. it was icy as hell. no powder watsoever. i did a half day tho so w.e..

i have video of me biting it, trying to stop only to see one of those metal poles sticking out coming my way. i had to brace my hands to catch it, which i did... sith hurt like hell, but it was better than it hitting my stomach :smh:
 
Anyone need goggles? I got some Anon Figments with Gold Mirror lenses i'll send to an NTer for cheap.  The helmet I'd just ask for shipping covered and the helmet can go to whoever needs one.

This. I'd definitely look into new boots, one's that are heat moldable. ThirtyTwo are the only ones that I know of. They've been some of the best boots I've had. I also swapped out the insoles for the Green Superfeet. They helped out a lot.

They've been my go to for all boarding gear. If you're ever looking into copping new gear, but don't want to pay full price, they usually their season end sale around March. Copped my Arbor Draft for 50% off since it was the end of the season


I'm gonna be missing out this season since my wife and I are expecting a lil one any day now. Seeing all these snowboarding pics on Instagram def doesn't help at all. Got me fiending for some powder!

I'll probably re-up on boots/bindings at the very least this year when they have that sale then... I've already gotten close to $500 worth of new **** right now so budget is just about depleted aside from actually riding this year.

What size is the helmet? Been looking for a helmet just so I dont have to wear a beanie primarily, and obviously so I dont hit my noggin. I wear a 7 5/8th-7/34ths so I might need an XL.

i learned how to toe slide by rolling around on one of these.. just be careful.. push off on something and mimic the movements on heel sliding and try to shift your legs into doing a toe slide.. make sure you are also on a flat and smooth surface so you can imitate the slippery slopes..
but it might not work for you..
 
Need a new board too. Learned how to snowboard in 1997. Slowly phased out as I got older and have grown about 6 inches since the last time I hit the slopes.
 
Not trying to threadjack but I'm going to Winterpark in a month and I need to get some ski/snowboard gloves. Anybody have decently priced suggestions?
 
Wanted to go this weekend but didn't have anyone tryna go with.  I used to ride alone all the time but that was when I had free pass to Killington when I worked there...

I swear 7 5/8 hat too... Possible that this would be tight on you though, you'd want one of those beanies to go between head and helmet too.  Its a Large.

Another NTer PM'd me about it and said he was gonna shoot me $10 for shipping it but never did.

Try gear trade or whiskey militia and go for something with goretex. I prefer mits to gloves cus it seems to keep my fingers warmer but whatever you prefer I'm sure you'll be fine. Also wearing a liner glove always helps

Riding alone is dope though. Unless it's an issue of you not being able to afford gas money alone, I don't see why you wouldn't go for it.
 
with size 11.5 boots you should definitely consider getting a wide board. but try you capita board out and see how it rides. your board length seems fine but see how it feels after a day or riding.


As a beginner years ago I had a Rome board, Burton bindings and Salomon boots. The set up as pretty good.

As for boards i've had and ridden: Rome, Gnu, Skate banana, Burton
*Lib tech boards are hands down the most fun and versatile boards to ride on

Bindings I've had: Burton Outlaws and Cartels, Rome 390, Union Contact Pros
*For 2 good seasons i LOVED the Rome 390s, but after demoing the Burton Cartels 2013 I switched to these bad boys. The ride was great, highbacks were responsive and the weight was much less than the heavy Rome 390s.

Snowboard boots: Salomon and Nike Kaiju
*Although I have the Nike Kaiju now, the Salomons were very comfortable and warm. But I just love the look of my Kaiju's over the Salomons. The Kaiju's are a little narrow and painful to break in. But after putting new insoles in and break in time they're tolerable now.

I need a new board, also wear an 11 boot and will DEFINITELY be getting a wide. Toe/heel drag is a ^&%$.

What do people think of buying on eBay? I've seen some great deals. How important is strapping in before buying?

Definitely there are great deals on Ebay. Make sure you get detailed pics and there are no significant damage to the board. As for bindings you have to trust the seller. There could be missing minor things that they may not tell you. But if you know anyone with the same brand ask them how they like the ride. But nothing beats trying the board and bindings personally.
 
Just got back from Windham Mountain in Upstate New York--Had a blast!

I've gone boarding several times, but I finally got a lesson and I improved ten-fold. I can finally toe turn and lock in different turns as I go down the slopes. Went down some blues with partial ease as well. I went down the blue during the end of the day, so, I had to deal with a lot of ice. It's never fun to go over a sheet of exposed ice :smh:

Thinking about getting my own board and boots with bindings and helmet.

Can anyone please give me some recommendations for a beginner board and all the stuff I need? Money isn't an issue. Although, I don't want something that's overkill. I won't be doing tricks or jumps anytime soon or ever will for that matter. I just want something that'll last and give me a smooth ride with tight response. I've heard good things about the Burton Easy Livin Bend: Flying V. I was told I need something with a camber. Makes sense why I'd need it.

Also, can someone show me any good value goggles too? I finally started gaining some speed and that wind is killer along with the sun.

I know my sizes too.

Boots: Size 10
Board: 156cm
Bindings: Large
Helmet: Medium
 
Burton Custom is a good board, look into that. Most important part of a setup are boots. Get good fitting, comfortable boots that can TIGHTEN nicely around your feet.


Saying this cause I broke my foot last week when I fell toeside. I was boarding with a broken boot (the ones you turn to tighten, one side was broken so it was basically as loose as can be). Im pretty good at boarding, I was only gonna board 4 hours tops so I said what the hell ill ride it out. It wasnt too bad, I just had to exaggerate a heel or toe to carve but fell while doing a toeside turn and heard a crack. Thankfully the adrenaline was flowing and I heeled the rest of the way down. Doc said it was a fracture, been in a cast since Tuesday. Sucks bros.
