I'd say it's about 75% Nostalgia, 25% Quality.  The Shattered Backboard 1s and other 2015 OG 1s have the quality aspect (especially the Shattered Backboard 1s).
 
These are the shoes you get if you've wanted an air Jordan with the Nike air for a while. This is the 6 you buy because it's the only one with Nike air.

I've had retros with the Nike air and its cool to look at for a good 2 weeks and then you don't even care unless you're trying to show off to other people.

JB being back the other 6s true to form. This shoe is and has always been an after thought to me.

And let's be honest, a lot of folks will not buy this because of the same Nostalgia as others. A small percent have actually waited 20 plus years for this shoe to come back out. Others remember seeing this in the sole collector air Jordan catalog recently and noticed they were the only OG 6 to not re release. Just being honest here, not attacking.

It would be the ultimate trolling by JB if the make NA retros in the same number as OG 1s.  That would make a lot of people angry (including me).

I think these will be a massive GR and be much greater numbers compared to Jordan 1. They are releasing in full family size run after all. Hopefully it's an easy cop for all that want to rock em

100%.. I found it funny how SB VIs sat last year, despite being an OG cw. I bet the decision to include NA on these Maroons was partially driven by that.

I feel like this train of thought is why we haven't seen OG AJ 1 metallic cws release-some cws, OG or not, will simply have a harder time to sellout.

Need better pic's 2 decide cop or not. I have all the NA retro's that have released since '99 and these are/were A must for A lot of REAL JORDANHEAD Collectors

but the pic's I've seen of these lately just might have 2 pass. Although I do have A credit with A connect out in Pen who owes me any 2 future releases of my pick.

BF Foams is one I chose, the other pick haven't decided on these NA Maroons/DB XIII/NA Cmnt IV's/AJ XXX? I got 72-10 XI's on lock awready or I would pick them

as my second choice.

Don't use the AJ XXX as your pick, that shoe is going to be literally everywhere, it will get discounted.

Personally I would go for the Dorenbecher 13s and Cement 4 OG.

I have a degree in Ebonics so I understand.  What he's saying is that where he lives Nike Air on Jordan shoes is a major deal.  He has had OG Jordan owners come up to him and appreciate/reminisce about having a pair of OG Cement 3s from looking at his Cement '88s and they asked him he knew about the shoes he was wearing and he said he sure does.
