I dunno how fans and the show people say eugene doesn't deserve to be in hell. Umm, he shot off a chunk of Tracy's skull and left her a vegetable. Them wheeling her around and her eyes staying open is so creepy.

jesse's bad too with him putting that bullet in the security guard's forehead.

RIP to my baes Emily, Betsy, and the girls working at the brothel.

The last few eps really came together for the finale which was really good and tied up just about everything that dealt with being in Texas.

I can see most thinking this entire season was set up for S2 though if they get around to binging it.

And yeah Jesse is a pretty bad person. Murder sealed it and that wasn't like some reason behind htm he killed that security guy just cuz he was in the way of them robbing a bank.

And this last episode was cool too. Cant wait for the Saint to put in work next season :pimp:

Ruth Negga is so gorgeous.

Can someone explain why they gave carlos weapons and the next scene he's shown badly beaten up and barely able to walk? Did the two of them beat him up or did people in the neighborhood beat him up for whatever reason? Maybe because he was wearing that yellow spandex workout outfit.

Herr Starr Coming To PREACHER In Season 2


As Preacher showrunner Sam Catlin spoke to Deadline about last night's explosive season one finale of Preacher, he revealed that comic book fans can expect Her Starr to debut in season 2. Briefly glimpsed in episode 3 (though obscured in shadows), Herr Starr will make his presence felt in season 2 according to Catlin. The producer also teased that we'll soon be meeting the men responsible for the murder of Jesse's father.

"We don’t know who killed Jesse’s father, but we’ll know more about who those two men were."

few things now that i finished the finale

Herr Starr will revitalize some of these scenes that just drag with no charisma (hopeful)

Damn near every episode was a setup with season 2 in mind

I was hoping the flashbacks would show more of Jesse interacting with Jody and TC and would transition into next season.

Saint and Cassidy were about the only accurate depictions of the novel.  

Odin being introduced so early seems problematic down the line.

All in all pretty good show but if some of you guys arent feeling it def grab the novel instead

He was too scared to use them.

Jesse and Tulip beat the **** out of him.

Jesse should've used his power on him for so.e torture up to a point. Like jerk off until it's beyond sore (punishment ties in to losing the baby).
 
Ok. I wasn't sure if they were the ones who beat him up or other people did. He's someone who deserved to die so they should've just killed him.

I would've told him to walk to Japan. Or live in that cow poop methane pit.

The way the town ended was all sorts of weird with the methane gas operator just giving up on life while his hooker wearing the gag ball decides to mess everything up.
 
Man. As a comic reader, seeing the whole season as a whole was perfect. I had my doubts but it paid off.

That scene with "God" sealed it for me.

Can't wait for Season 2. Bring on Herr Starr.

Preacher season 2 premiere date set for June

AMC has announced today it has set the Preacher Season 2 premiere date for Monday, June 19 at 9 PM ET. The network also released six first-look photos (look below) from the new season. The expanded second season, consisting of 13 episodes, is a genre-bending thrill ride that follows West Texas preacher Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper), his badass ex-girlfriend Tulip (Academy Award nominee Ruth Negga) and an Irish vampire named Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun) as they embark on a road trip to find God and are thrust into a twisted battle spanning Heaven, Hell and everywhere in between.

Didnt know a thread existed for this...I enjoyed the first season. Definitely up my alley and looking forward to season 2
