Gonna see if more fighters have this issue because so far it’s only mousasi
But unless the Saudi money kicks in- it’s difficult to acquire a whole other promotion with champs and contenders and pay everyone

Think John Nash went over their champ contracts not too long ago. They're restrictive as hell, a bit similar to ONE but without the image and likeness bs. Just look at what happened to Kayla when she was first a "free agent". She wanted to go Bellator but couldn't because PFL had the option of matching everytime an offer came up. Her losing the title was the only way for her to end up in the UFC.
Not sure how Bellator champ contracts were worded, but if the champs signed extensions with PFL already, we won't see them in the UFC til they lose their titles.
Can't really blame other organizations for trying to keep their fighters from leaving. Pretty much all they got when there's a monopoly over the industry.
