In Tom's defense he's been calling out Cyril but heard Gane was doing a movie so can't do the UK card this summer. It's really a bummer imo and while I want to see Tom back out there, a fight with Blaydes doesn't really excite me and it seems that's who he'll fight.
 
Legacy wise- Alex's name currently holds much more value than Tom's for sure

As far as who is the harder matchup, I can't really say it's Alex hands down

I don't know if there is anyone on Earth who will keep Jon off of him. At least Tom with his size and grappling ability would be formidable on the ground

Jon is so smart and tactical I feel like he wouldn't let Alex dictate his terms. Jon can be very defensive as well

Lets be honest, Tom is a baby in there he has had only a handful of fights. His biggest win is Volkov or Tybura, not exactly setting the world on fire with his resume. He wants the hardest available fight after Stipe to cement him before he retires.

Alex is more dangerous, way more experienced and has a way better resume than Tom..

you get more juice if you beat Alex than Tom.

NOW if TOM really wants the JON JONES fight he can fight CYRIL, and impressive win over Cyril adds the the buildup of a potential JJ fight...especially since jon just beat Cyril.

But bro, you beat Pavlovich (brand new), Tybura and Volkov and that gets you JON JONES???????

Sorry fam, I disagree with your take. I truly believe Jon could rag doll Alex when it comes to the wrestling, while I don’t see that being the same with Tom.

And the idea of Jon fighting Tom in a soccer stadium, I don’t see how that’s not big business.

I think Tom or Alex would do similar business but if we’re talking legacy I don’t think toms name has the weight of Alexs at the moment

I don’t know what Jon ultimately cares about but I think it’s legacy if he’s randomly trying to promote these matchups all of a sudden
 
I think Jon beating aspinal in a soccer stadium and Alex getting a few more defenses at 205 makes the idea of a Jones/Alex fight MORE massive.

I want to see Jones/Alex, just feel like the timing for it is after Jones/aspinal happens first. It’s what the fans have been calling for, we all could care less about seeing the stipe fight at this time.
