Pearson is coming off a win, let's be real

and his NC with Melvin should just be ignored. Before that fight he was coming off two stoppages of some lower tier fighters.

right i don't have my life savings on it, i'm just saying i like the match up a lot. i don't think maynard is as good as he was in his pro lay and pray days.

I recall Melvin controlling the opening round against "Real Deal" prior to the NC. But yes, "Nightmare" got a gift against Pearson. Probably because the Gil fight is fresh in people's minds.

Respect your opinion. Play of the day is 50U on Shawn Porter, if you're a boxing guy.

Champ: yeah Melvin was winning that fight against Pearson for sure. I think this is a perfect fight honestly to get a clear read on things between Maynard and Pearson

Champ...what fights should I make sure to catch tonight?
Prelims (FS2): Formiga vs. Makovsky. Should really be on the undercard.

Undercard: Boestch vs. Tavares should be a snoozer decision, IMO. I'd keep an eye on Pearson vs. Maynard. I'm picking Gray Maynard by boring decision with wrestling, but his chin has eroded and "Real Deal" Pearson could secure a KO.

Main (FS1): OSP vs. Bader. Sensing a finish. Either OSP taps "Darth Bader" or Bader KO's St. Preux.

You taking Makovsky or Formiga? Really tough fight to call, could swing either way.
Jussier is my pick, dude has just lost to the elite and also UD'd Cariaso. Showed me he still has a pulse after finishing Jorgensen (which Makovsky also beat). This is also a great match to get a read on the division.

Both guys have solid BJJ. Formiga is good, not great. Can't beat the elite within division. Benavidez, Dodson, McCall. I'm picking Jussier in a razor-thin 29-28 decision.

word thanks homie
Anytime, brotha. I really recommend keeping an eye on Showtime boxing. Porter/Brook, Dirrell/Bika 2, Figueroa. Strong, free card.

Idk if anyone is in the Sacramento area or trying to go to UFC 177 but Groupon has a deal on 177 tickets. $65 for lower level rear or upper level front (normally $95) and $40 for upper level rear (normally $66).

Hope that comes to fruition one day. Your 49ers knowledge is impeccable. Not to mention MMA and CFB prospects. Sports is a hobby I can't get away from, "addictive drug" if you will.

War OSP.

OSP with a huge R2.

Bartleby: Props on the Pearson call. I can admit when I'm wrong. Very wrong. Bully Maynard is finished. Frankie took a piece of him but I had hope he would rally against Nate and Pearson.

Was watching that Big Knockout Boxing thing, but just tuned in and saw the last few rounds of the Bader/OSP fight. OSP has all of the talent to compete but he needs to bring in a striking coach or something. Everything I saw him throw was wild and he didn't follow up. And even though Bader won, I wanna see him evolve a little bit more. If he actually wants to compete at 205 lbs he's gotta get his striking up. Top guys like Gus, JBJ, DC, and Rumble would neutralize his wrestling and probably finish him in the later rounds.

But even though Dana said he Rumble vs Gus makes a lot of sense to him, I'm expecting Bader to fight either Gus or Rumble next but wishing for Gus v Rumble.

Agreed with both of you. OSP needs to go back to the beginner striking class because dude's striking needs work. He loaded up and telegraphed all his strikes. Lacking so many fundamentals from stance to throwing proper punches. What camp does he train with? Was that Matt Lindland in his corner?

Bader kept it simple pushing the pace, utilizing his wrestling and keeping OSP off balance.

thanks. Pearson 2.0 scared me in the first round a bit but maynard's 35 years caught up in the second round. put a good amount on that one only because it was risking 2 to pay out 1. lost some back because i did a separate parlay with OSP aka the sloppiest anderson silva impersonation i've seen.

respect to ryan bader who is forever the gatekeeper of the lhw. he's the urijah faber of lhw.

also osp gassed at the start of the 2nd round. it was stupid. he was doing the thiago silva showboating thing cause he was too tired to throw those ridiculous punches. i thought the fight was in the bag when he kicked the crap out of bader's body in the 2nd round but he just didn't follow up. hated watching that fight.

Not impressed with OSP nor Bader. Definitely top 10 talents but they will never compete for the gold, or if they do they'll get dispatched rather easily.

How can someone be that bad at simple striking?

I've never seen a guy with No right hand, I'm talking he couldn't even throw a sharp jab wit it. I died laughing when OSP switched to right handed stance just to throw a jab. RIDICULOUS
