The MMA Thread: DON'T ASK 4 STREAMS & NO GIFS- O’Malley v Vera on NOW

Literally looked down at my computer and the fight was over

I thought he slipped but OSP actually wrecked his **** foreal :\

Joubain got robbed but at least he showed everybody he's legit. Dude survived the apocalypse in that 1st round.

I thought he just slipped too, and was screaming for him to turtle and roll when he hit the ground like he usually does, but he was half out don there.

Dude needs to move to the states and hook up with better trainers, and send what money he got left fixing his knees once and for all so he can train harder.

But at this point I think he might be shot. Dude got finished in 3 fights he should have won. :smh:

Shogun is done. Lucky for him he already signed up to coach the next TUF Brazil so I doubt he's in danger of getting cut.

I didn't realize that Shogun is only 32. Could've sworn he was pushing 40. He's been around for a while.

Yeah he'd still kinda young. Entered the sport when he was how old? 19? 20? I need to watch some Shogun fights from Pride to cheer myself up. I remember when dude was so good they talked about him moving up and being a threat to Fedor. If his knees are still a problem he should've went to kobe's doctor in Germany and had stem cells put in them.

he might as well be 40, he's a very old 32 as a fighter

his younger days and his unwillingness to train at a high level have caught up to him

10+ years in MMA is no joke. Your chin can only hold out for so long. And athleticism does tend to pass you buy as you get older.

That's why I'm puzzled by Anderson extending his UFC contract. The Diaz fight should be his last. Go out on a high note following the last two losses.

Don't end up like BJ.

It happens in every sport, especially boxing and MMA.. guys don't want to walk away. Kinda sad but it's their choice, and nobody gonna talk them out of it. These are alpha dudes who can't grasp reality when time starts to get the upper hand.

I guess Shogun is hinting at a weight change

That's not going to help. MW has Souza, Machida, Rockhold, Weidman, Romero, Kennedy, Bisping, Belfort, Mousasi and Dollaway (sp).

HW is pretty weak right now. But that chin would disentigrate more.

Nothing gonna help Shogun, not a weight class change, not TRT, dude is past his expiration date in terms of competing at a championship level

Agreed. WW, MW and LHW are stacked right now.

Dan Hendo, Shogun, Diego Sanchez, Tito Ortiz, Stephen Bonnar, etc are knocking on retirement.

^
bellator is a joke with how they made tito and that ped jabroni bonnar the main event for their ppv. Chandler and the lw champ could go in there and beat both of them and they should be the main event.
