Nuts that none of the fights we really want to see @ FW have happened yet.

With the first hopefully happening in December it would seem.

Mendes/McGregor was cool. But last minute Mendes was a let down from the fight we all wanted with Aldo.

When a bout between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson was added to the TUF 22 Finale on December 11th, naturally it looked like a headlining fight. But with Khabib's camp not wanting to go five rounds, it was placed in the co-main spot. That still leaves the main event open, and it looks likeFrankie Edgar will be filling that spot. He tweeted this out earlier today:

Nice to see him accept Holloway's challenge though with no fear of it derailing his title fight.

That type of **** is exactly why you never see other fighters say anything negative about him. Even Conor :lol:

When I suggested Mendes/Holloway earlier, I was trying to think of an opponent that would be a good "tune up" fight for Edgar while Aldo/McGregor gets sorted.

I couldn't think of one but Stephens fits the bill.

Frankie vs Max makes the most sense , who ever loses should fight the loser of Aldo Vs Connor. The loser will still be a win away from a title shot. Have Chad fight Jeremy.

How did I compare the two?

I said I have the same level of respect for them. I was alluding to Chael getting a opportunist tittle shot too.

I don't really like Frankie but he isn't the juiced up joke Sonnen is, I'll give him that.

And lets keep it #1HUNNA only one dude in this thread gets rustled when I shade Frankie.

And the shade I throw at Frankie, minus the obvious exaggerations, are stuff other people on other boards have said about him over the years.

It is just that I'm unique in that I hold every single negative opinion about dude at one time :lol:

-And their is some truth in what I say about Frankie besides the outrageous hating

Like what have I said that is so crazy:
-He has gotten plenty of favors from UFC management, him not getting the recent title shot is offset by those past favors. So he is not in a position to complain
-His point fighting style can be boring/annoying as hell to watch
-I'm not of the opinion that that style should be reward by the judges. I argued this at length with Los v. Diaz, so it not me singling out Frankie neither
-He is no where near the level of Jose. And nothing about their previous fight convinces/excited me to see him back in there with Aldo.
-He gets props for "willing to fight anyone" that most fighters do, yet there is no backlash when he whines about ****

People just hype dude up for what I see is no great reason. Over the years on NT I've probably given Frankie props plenty of times too. Like most dudes in this thread (hell every MMA forum) will slurp Frankie, so what's the problem with someone going the opposite direction

-I'll give it to Frankie doe, besides Fetty Wap, he the best thing Jersey got going for it :smokin

But I've been in this thread for years. I had plenty of intelligent back to froth with plenty of members about all manner of subjects involving the sport. I don't have to make sure my post met your standards
