Well, if all things are equal, Jones SHOULD still be facing a 6 month suspension.

Diaz tested positive in '07 for tetrahydrocannabinol and got suspended 6 months.


And then of course he tested positive again and got hit with a year suspension.


Interesting to see if the UFC is consistent on this.

Floyd loved? In what world? I think Floyd is one of the most despite boxers of all time. The problem is that he is great and he brings money to the sport and to an entire city.

Its probably not that he meant it in a malicious way, but I can def see why DC would take it wrong. Imagine Jones going upto a BJJ world champion and saying "bro, i bet i could submit u" especially not knowing dude one bit. It comes off as egotistical.

I think the difference is how commissions view coke vs weed

Weed for some reason is a much more serious offense than coke

When I go into the boxing thread, there's plenty of smart folks who like him. I'd imagine they exist outside the internet as well

Of course it is but to take it to the extreme that DC took it? You talk trash like that "I'll take you down 100 times out of 100 times if I want to" and you better be ready to suffer the consequences if you lose.. and only take him down once in 25 minutes

they are fighters .. People don't think Jones have wrestling skills but dude showed it. Is not talking **** when you are the champ and are constantly proving it. DC also talked **** ... 100 out of 100 and the only time he went down was when he thru himself down ... DC is acting classy now because he has no choice .. He was humbled real quick.

Jordan is probably the BIGGEST ******* in sports history, he straight up alienated people on and off the court. Took their dignity. And I LOVED EVERY DAMNED SECOND.

I watched the fight with 5 black dudes and a couple Arab guys, only one dude was rooting for Jones. Idk what it is about his attitude but it makes him easy to dislike.

BTW to dude up there who can't understand why Floyd is loved and Jones hated, Mayweather is probably the most hated athlete in American sports :lol: I like him but I won't lie I'd love to see him eat an uppercut and hit the mat.

Agreed about Rousey too, I'd like to smash but I can't stand her either. She needs to fight in the men's division, get beat down and be done with.

About half of boxing fanboys love Mayweather and are Stans. The other half hate him, but watch him anyway hoping he loses. I'd say about 80% of the fans despise Jon Jones and probably pray for his downfall.

I guess the difference is you can justify the way Mayweather carries himself due to being a product of his environment. Jones is just contrived and disingenuous.

I wouldn't ever personally touch cocaine but I don't think this is a huge deal, horrible pr but he's a fighter he'll be ok

After the fight he was going on and on about how easy it was for him to cut weight now. It's interesting now looking back at his press conference, how excited he was to go back into training and not take his routine break after a fight. Makes me wonder just how deep into coke he was

srs though I hope this don't f up his fight career, MMA without Bones would be a shame

I know a lot of people say they don't like Jones because of his the way he acts and how he's fake, but I think a lot don't like him because he's a dominant champion so they all wanna see his downfall.  We just love the underdog. It happens in all sports. Think about the best teams or athletes (Kobe, LeBron, Mayweather, Jeter, Lakers, Yankees, etc) and theres a good chance that you or people you know hate that person or team for whatever reason you/they think is reasonable. 
 
A message from Jones to Anderson Silva from yesterday. I think the only dude Jones respects and looks up to is Spider. Have a feeling Spider will reach out to Jones at some point
