You reckon McGregor will call out Pettis if he wins?
Conor actually been super respectful of Pettis and other LW's (like Cowboy). Even though Conor been yapping about being champ in 3 weight classes, I think there will be a strong sense of "you need to beat a wrestler first". Which would be one of Frankie/Mendes/Lamas.. if he were to beat one of them too then who knows...

A heads up, the prelims are on FX tonight at 5 PM Pacific time

Damn, was watching coverage all last night and analysts were saying Pettis is the best counter puncher 155 has ever seen. I thought that was a big statement but this morning I was watching Gilbert Melendez break down his fight with him on Sportscenter.. Pettis had a RIDICULOUS string of counter punching, like 5 straight counter strikes that all beat Gil to the punch, that were just so fast I didn't even realize he hit Gil that many times when the fight happened

RDA is a straight forward pressure fighter, this could work out well for Pettis

plus Pettis says he is feeling great since he's finally healthy and not coming off injury

Are we about to see Pettis unleash something even more than what we've already witnessed...

If Pettis can turn it up to another level, then I feel bad for the other lightweights.

Definitely my favorite fighter to watch right now. He'll try to finish you standing or on the ground.

His nickname is hyperbole but it fits.

The guy should be a bigger star than he is. Like all you need are highlight reels. Maybe it's because he's been injured but the way he finished his last few fights have been spectacular. That kick to Donald took his soul. Never saw Bendo or Melendez tap before.
CM Punk’s Training Partner Comments on Punk’s Attitude
Steven Muehlhausen of SportingNews.com  recently talked to UFC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis ahead of his UFC 185 title defense against Rafael Dos Anjos. Pettis trains with CM Punk  at Roufussport in Milwaukee and discusses why Punk’s attitude has surprised him so far.

Pettis on Punk attitude surprising him:
“Yes for sure. I just didn’t know what to expect. You see him on TV. I met him a couple times. You really don’t know what to expect from anybody. He came into the gym, you come into the practice room and you have two world champions on the floor, you have CM Punk, you have one of the most Olympic level wrestlers and everybodies is just training together. Everybody blends in and there’s no superstar. There’s no one person who gets more attention. Its just a team full of guys that all want to get better.”
Pettis also discusses his experience with Punk so far in the gym, his fight with Dos Anjos, and much more. You can check out the entire interview at this link.
