cm punk isnt even taking a spot. if anything, fighting on that card will probably make everyone money
ufc is about that $
would not be surprised if we see more "spectacle" going forward
 
Getting random celebs to fight would be good for the overall money. Can't deny that one

Still wouldn't want it to become a regular thing but at least it has potential to make everyone more cash

I agree. I'm not mad at CM Punk. I think he was given a very good opportunity and he took it. I would've done the same.

If there is anyone to blame, it'll be the UFC. If i was a fighter, I'd be pissed to see CM punk in there. Guy has 0 fighting experience and is now getting to fight in the big league. There are tons of established fighters in other orgs that probably deserve a spot in the UFC more than him. Again, his celebrity status probably brings in more $$ which is really what the UFC cares about..but i definitely can understand some of the salt against him.
 
I do not have a problem with CM Punk in the UFC. It's just that the UFC should do a better job of promoting their fighters, especially their champions. Dana always saying someone is not a draw like it's their job to market them. CM Punk has not proven anything in the UFC or MMA in general, and here we have a vid of him made by the UFC.

i don't think eddie is a bad match up for conor. conor is too fast for him imo. i think rda was a nightmare match up for conor. but if conor ever defends 145, i think he starches jose.

On Rogan's podcast he said they are good friends, it's his girls fav fighter and they've already had some kind of staredown :nerd:

Anybody watch the season premier of TUF? Reminded of how much I can't stand Ceputo and his elementary school haircut. He talked about wanting his teammate on his team then proceeded to pick the number one seed in the tournament that beat his teammate by submission in the first fight. Refused to provide any coaching for his fighter during the fight too since he didn't want to work against his teammate. He admitted he's never coached before and it showed in the episode, but being that all the fighters this season are champs in their individual organizations they aren't likely going to learn anything anyway.

Second fight ended quickly and brutally.

Anybody else feel bad for dude? His "son" was calling him by his first name and didn't look the slightest bit mixed. UFC basically showing the world he was ****holded before he got destroyed in less than a minute.

Geez. Awesome matchup for sure. cerrone has a tendency to get punched so it might be a bad night for him.
 
Just kind of realized that I don't think they'll be a dominant champ for a while. Outside of DJ

DC is close but we'll see what happens with jones, other than that I can see every division having new champs

I know we've seen a wave of new champs but I never really thought about how in the past we had Anderson and gsp and Aldo just having such a stronghold

Robbie might be a bit bigger than Cowboy. They're both slow starters. So I expect fireworks in the 2nd and 3rd.

USADA walked that Robbie out of the building, but even the low T Robbie should be able to have his way with Cerrone.
