The MMA Thread: DON'T ASK 4 STREAMS & NO GIFS- UFC 300 ON NOW

I don't think you're in the minority, no one gives a damn about rda but he's looking unstoppable.

Real allergies were shed when Cowboy talked about his Grandma

yea but ppl imply that cerrone used roids...he did use a banned substance to help with the weight cut. bad but not some **** that gives u superhero powers like vitor lol

RDA has never tested positive for any illegal substances, so for that reason I tend to give guys like him the benefit of the doubt.

Cerrone has failed a prior test and he violated USADA policy with his 'whereabouts failure' which actually is a failed test by default.

So he's a guy who has failed not one but two drug tests. He needs to shut up because right now it looks like he's already making excuses for losing to RDA.

Cowboy going night night in front of grandma.

Agree with heathen..Cowboy sounding real insecure.

am i the only one who's iffy on mcgregor being thrown into the mix at 155 immediately? let the dude stick around at fw/defend a few times first then let him move up next year.. ufc gon be looking goofy if they rush conor into an asswhooping at a bigger weightclass after just winning the title.

BJ got a whooping from GSP, didn't stop him from being marketable or being looking at him as a beast at 155.

I dunno, maybe it was the tactics GSP used, but the regular MMA fan was understanding, the UFC looked good for actually making the fight.

-But if Conor gets put to sleep, without any grappling, then yeah, there will be egg on Dana's face IMO

IMO

The size difference between 145 and 155 is not as drastic as the size difference between 155 and 170

Thats why i think BJ got smashed

Conor might not do bad at 155 since he struggles to make 145 anyway

The huge guys from 155 will probably have a hard time cutting and go to 170 and so on

Either that or guys will have to get much leaner

The biggest advantage Conor has over the guys at Featherweight is his size. He doesn't have some sort of incredible, magical knockout power. He's just drastically bigger than the dudes at FW.

At LW, I believe that size advantage will be equalized. I believe he can take on guys like Cowboy, Diaz, etc. But I think he would get washed by Pettis and RDA.

But then again, has he been wrong yet?

You're right. Can't deny Conor has technique as well, very precise striker with both his hands and feet. He also understands space word to Neil Armstrong

In my mind can't think he wouldn't hang with the strikers at 155. What are their reaches? Conor has a 74 I believe

I think what people are getting at with the weight jump is his power might not carry over though his precision will. And the odds are he will be facing much heavier hitters, so you'd likely see his chin tested.

There's good grapplers at 155 too. Let's see if he can develop better tdd if he has healthy knees now.

No doubt. Precision makes up for that. And volume too. Word to the Diaz brothers

Conor can get pin point with his body kicks and his punches. Don't need the crazy power

Plus Pettis rda Etc don't have crazy power or anything either just technical kicks

Btw Cowboys boxing has always been a lil sloppy just as an aside
