Cormier has a fight to take care of first but I wouldn't mind seeing DC skip Gus. I would welcome either guy fighting Jones next tbh

laugh.gif Good thing I didn't put a bet on Glover, i was wondering if maybe it was a sign. Good thing I listened to my awake brain and not my asleep brain.

Jon Jones may have finally crossed over to the mainstream tonight. That Ray Lewis dance is going to go viral and his performance was some genius stuff. Perfect package.

Jones ATE a lot of uppercuts tho.

The reason he did the George foreman double arm folded defense with time ticking.

I didn't understand Grover's gameplay at all? Lay back and counter? Really. He needed to get off first

He didn't kick at all, no knees in the clinch. Mannnnnnn

doubtful. people really don't like the guy for various reasons. he saved someone from a robbery, and people still hate him

Jones threw like 10 right hands that whole fight and still dominated.

Damn

I DESPISED the dude before tonight. Hated how he acted during interviews. Tonight proved the Gus fight wasn't a fluke. Bones can scrap with anyone and beat them at their own game with one hand.

He is ridiculously talented and finally embraced the fans tonight. That Ray dance showed he at least gave a **** about what other people thought of him.

The scary part about Jones is that he's still getting better with each fight.

But Phil Davis comes off now looking like a complete fool. All of the time he spent trash talking Jones should've been spent focusing on Rumble.

Depending on when JBJ/Gus 2 happens and assuming DC beats Cormier, I think they should have DC vs Rashad or Rumble as the co-main. I don't like the idea of DC fighting Hendo to claim the #1 contender spot and then waiting around for a title shot.

Rumble, Cormier, Gus.......eyes.gif Hendo....

Lots of possibilities.

Hendo would get destroyed something mean, he'd have a very unhappy retirement send off. I don't see Rumble doing much better than Glover.

Agreed. Though I think Rumble would be far more aggressive than Glover was in this fight. He'd let off first, he wouldn't let Bones simply dictate where the fight went.

But man can Bones take a shot, crazy stamina too....Gus might still be the the best opponent for him. Cormier is intriguing as well.

Heh, Rashad. Once he's healthy he's coming back into a muddied fray of contenders. One of whom is a teammate. Just drop down to 185 dude.....

agree. the only people that can fight competitively with Jones right now is Cormier, Gus, and if Cain went on a diet. He easily make 205 and run through Jones.

Jones vs Gustaffson 2 8o

Missed the destruction of Glover.
Gotta catch the replay.

IDK how easily Cain would be able to make weight. He's by no means a small HW. He has sick cardio for his size. He'd probably be compromising his gas tank by dropping 45 pounds.

Besides he's the HW champion. Bones gotta go up to fight him, not the other way around. The HW strap > .

Once jones beats Gus again and then Cormier, hopefully he just starts eating and goes to hw.

Then he can go at Cain

Bones at 230- 235 would be terrifying

Chuck and Hackleman must be pissed. For the past 2 weeks they've been all over giving interviews talking about how Glover is gonna destroy Jones or submit him by the 3rd round if the fight is on the ground.

hes 240 of tubby fat, he can easily eat healthy and make weight. Look at his midsection, easily 10-15 pounds alone.  I don't think he even lifts heavy anymore with his injuries and surgeries. And if anything it would help his gas tank being much lighter. But I do agree, Bones has to go up to fight Cain. I was just saying the only guys who can touch him right now are those three. I don't even know if Dos Santos can handle Jones at heavyweight.

He's 250 first of all. And he's by no means "tubby fat". Looks can be deceiving, but I'd wager his BF% is lower than you think. Also for a career HW, to cut that much weight can have catastrophic effects on stamina.
I get that it is hypothetical, but for no reason should Cain ever have to cut down. He is the king of kings right now and Jones would have to come up to him.

Cain may not look as cut as other dudes, but guy is still a tank. A career Heavyweight for sure.

Exactly. Why in the world would Cain go down in weight. That makes no sense. Cain can wait for Jones when the time is right. Cain walks around at 250+ anyway. Not going to be easy to all of a sudden go down and expect to compete with the likes of Jones
