Just read that Kawajiri suffered a detached retina for the 3rd time in his left eye. Crazy.

Also saw that aleksander emelianenko got arrested for some kind of sexual attack. Dude needs to be locked up permanently.

I know I'm already going to be glued to the TV for two events next weekend. The only fight I will go out of my way to see this weekend is Cub/Stephens. Cub wins by TKO.

Isn't the lightweight title fight just going to be January 3rd or something instead of New Years? I'm not stressing, that timeframe has been the plan all along...

Things to watch Fight Night 44: Of course Cub and Stephens, the main event. Musoke has underrated Jiu-Jitsu, think he manages to tap and upset Gastelum. Bully Lamas is looking to rebound on the undercard.

Fight Night 43: Te Huna with home support in his first MW bout. Soa Palelei has vicious KO power. Hioki an above-average grappler.

Can't really blame Pettis. He said he'd be ready to fight end of summer but UFC booked him and Gil on TUF, pushing back the fight until Dec. Now that they realized that Xmas is on a Thursday they don't wanna have the big end of the year card just two days after. You figure a majority of ppl would still be with their family or traveling back home.

Tonights actually got a Main Event that is a potential FOTY. Cub Swanson And Jeremy Stephens are both dudes that love to throw hands. I got Swanson by 2nd TKO.

Sonnen failed a second drug test. This time for HGH and EPO. Waiting to see how he/UFC play this off now. Maybe I'm wrong but can't think of any reason why you need to take HGH and EPO while getting off of TRT or how they're used for fertility treatments.

Damn they left Chael out in the cold. Fox coverage of MMA is borderline terrible now outside of Dominick Cruz. Don't really care either way, maybe Chael will go back to not spewing the company line and just speak his mind

I still don't know how Mousasi just ate that 1st head kick from Machida, sick.gif

Hoping my guy kicks Weidman's head off this Saturday, pimp.giflaugh.gif

Penn vs Edgar is getting overshadowed hard by Weidman/Machida.

Having multiple events on a weekend is O.D imo.

I really like Weidman... I got a buddy that is close to his camp and I can confirm that those dudes have been confident that he'd be MW champ for a couple-few years now.  I remember getting texts 2-3 years ago talking about how they were trying so hard to get a shot at a top level guy to really get on the map.

Can't decide who I want to win the fight though because I've liked Machida for a long time.

Longo and Serra I think were saying he'd be champ forever. And while talk is cheap, they were right. Dude is the real deal.

Pulling for Weidman in this one. Also a Machida fan, so a bit torn, but for some reason I want Weidman to take it.

Glad Frankie BJ is a "freebie" on Sunday though. I'll have to be sobering up by then.

Figure I'll probably on the verge of passing out on my couch on Saturday night as well, so I'll catch that card too.

BBQ/Brew during the day. Fights at night. WIN/WIN.

Are people really clamoring for Penn Edgar III? Penn is irrelevant and I don't know why they are trying to force a third fight with them

If Edgar wins he shouldn't move up in the rankings at all

I don't think anyone really wanted to see Penn vs Edgar again but UFC didn't have any other options. From what I remembered, the first choice was Edgar vs Faber but something happened then Penn basically begged for the Edgar fight and talk about how he's motivated for it. Maybe we'll see a different BJ. He trained with Aldo and Barao for a while and even brought in Dolce to help with the weight cut. And with UFC missing some of their big stars you know they jumped on having BJ fight again.

These Sonnen fanboys are brutal on twitter. Going in on Dana and Brian Stann. All because he said UFC/Fox made the right decision and because more than likely he's gonna be the one replacing Chael on tv.

If you have COMCAST, it is currently on DEMAND under the UFC 175 section. Damn good documentary.

I'd rather watch a video of Miesha doing ab workouts and squats.

Feel like I now have to get behind Weidman 100% on July 4th weekend after that Team USA loss.

Lets go Machida!!! Machida Era 2.0 starts this Saturday.
Maybe the next machida era will last longer than 1 fight.
This one is bitter sweet.....

Thiago Alves is injured so Brandon Thatch steps in to fight Jordan Mein in August.
