The MMA Thread: DON'T ASK 4 STREAMS & NO GIFS- UFC 300 ON NOW

I wouldn't say Aldo dominated Frankie

Conor dominated Eddie

Aldo won a decision victory, he didn't even finish him

Who is Conor going to defend the belt against? Aldo? Beat him. Frankie? Aldo beat him. Holloway? Beat him.

Ricardo Lamas? Cub Swanson? Oliviera?

That's gonna sell more PPV than Diaz? Alvarez?

Conor out here making history and putting on a show. But y'all mad cause he won't fight Jeremy Stephens or Dennis Bermudez?

Conor out here trying to fight RDA, Diaz, Woodley, GSP.

None of those 145ers worthy

Damn, I like Conor but sometimes dudes is too much

That's on both sides of the coin too..

Oh well on to the fights tonight and tomorrow

The only reason why this is even a problem is because Dana decided to make this fake interim belt

Actually nvm

Blame Fatboy DC

He doesn't get injured, Conor still the 2 belt champ and this fake belt never gets made

Yeah, I'm sure it had nothing to do with refusing to defend, nothing at all

It didn't,

Also, he never refused to defend the belt, he had an opportunity to move up in weight and get another one and took it.

Fighters pulling out against him has a lot to do w/ this current situation.

If Aldo would've fought thru his sore vagina, Conor might have defended the FW belt right after but no, he pulls out like he always does and Conor is forced to fight a wrestler on short notice for a fake belt.

Then RDA goes and gets hurt which leads to 2 Nate fights.

Instead of whining about title defenses, how about giving dude credit for literally never saying no to a fight, because that's pretty damn rare in combat sports.

A lot of people will say Jon Jones is the P4P GOAT and he's easily one of the best fighters ever but he wouldn't even fight Chael Sonnen on short notice and the card folded because of it.

You don't like him, cool but pls **** about title defenses.

Mighty Mouse has like 83 of them and no one gives a damb.

What was aldo's last finish? mendes?

what does this even mean?  i dont even know what this means

i wonder why he didnt say no to these last 3

you're right, hes not saying no to anyone right now, it just happens to coincide with taking time off

can you back that up though?  that he's "literally never said no to a fight" or do you happen to equate that with never pulling out?

"i cant make conor fight anyone he doesnt want to" - apparently i dont know what this means either

here we go again, with another dude thinking it would have happened on 11 days notice, after we all just watched it not happen for 11 months

its people like you who are falling for this whole charade

im not talking about aldo, but these dudes want to change the subject and talk about aldo, im shocked

What? He just dominated frankie
Yah that's cool but anything can happen with Dana and conor involved. Plans don't mean much when it comes to the UFC
he just? that ish was 6 months ago.. he fought once and started demanding a shot.. nah b.. you got starched in 13 sec.. you better put together a couple of fights before you get a shot at the king again and IMO frankie wasn't next in line.. max been up.

ima say it now I hope ALDO never gets that rematch.. fight doesn't interest me in the slightest.. would rather see Conor fight Max/Pettis/ khabib/Diaz .... infact everyone before Aldo..

what do you expect, these dudes want to change the subject every time i bring up title defenses

not once have i heard him "calling shots" to defend his titles

at least with him being stripped, theyll forever have an excuse for not defending, nevermind all those fights he took without defending

i agree he should have BEEN defended that belt.. but I see the conor haters have moved on from the "he hasn't beat anyone/a real fighter with ground game" to "yeah he won both belts but never defended them".. cmon son let that man cook..

Max deserves it too never said he didn't

You sound bitter for what reason, I'm not sure

eh.. no reason to be bitter.. just defending my previous comments.

we can have a difference of opinions without it involving feelings...

im not against him cooking, when have i ever been against him cooking?

what i've been calling for is simple, but people keep wanting to change the subject

first he cant defend cause hes fighting a higher weight classes, now that hes got a higher weight class title, now he cant defend cause his fiance gets stressed

anything to delay defending, anything... money, power, anything to delay defending

Honestly, think that this delay has more to do with money/power than him fearing defending his title..

I'll say it again: fighters pulling out against him is the reason we are where we are

If either Aldo or RDA had stayed healthy, you'd be in here whining about something else because he would have at least 1 defense under his belt by now.

And don't play dumb, you know what it means.

He doesn't turn down fights, ever.

If he's scheduled to fight, he fights, regardless of opponent changes.

You'd rather him say "no" and just not fight at all? Alright,

no i dont know what it means

you said, he's "literally never said no to a fight", and im saying that danas acknowledged that hes said no to at least 1 fight

if youre trying to say hes never pulled out, ill agree with that, but thats not what you typed

Was he supposed to defend his title the next day? Is that what you want?

no you see, im not calling for that, i dont think i typed that anywhere

what im saying is that there's a pattern here, a pattern which some people choose to ignore, which i actually think they're happy to ignore because it fits their world view

if you saw the list of "facts" a few pages back, you'll notice what "fact" was left out

You do realize that that Dana quote you're referring to was in reference to Aldo being upset he couldn't get a rematch, right?

Literally lol'ing right now.

The only one that can't see the pattern here is you.

The pattern is Brazilians pulling out more often than all of Team Raw combined, which has forced this "charade" as you like to call it, upon us.

yeah, ok, more subject changing

i didnt see this coming

anything to delay defending

he cant defend his title, he has to get that nate loss back

Wouldn't be the first thing you didn't see because you apparently didn't see the first part of my post, either.

Anyway, I'm done w/ this silly back and forth.

Enjoy the rest of your night, good sir.

good be done

its not conor's fault he lost to nate and had to reclaim that instead of defending, it's jose and rda's fault

even though theres ZERO evidence that the last minute offers to jose and frankie would have been at 145 for the title

any reason not to defend, he can defend against anyone, so far he's just chosen not to,

any reason, these dudes will come up with any reason
