The MMA Thread: DON'T ASK 4 STREAMS & NO GIFS- UFC 300 ON NOW

I think he's a very good fighter and obviously a great marketer.

But every time he's had a chance to put up that W that takes him to a title, he's failed.

I'd say he'd need at least 1 more win if he gets past Luke to get a shot at the strap.

Jacare and Romero are closer.

i think a lot of people thought he beat chael... he was victimized against belfort and i don't even remember the tim kennedy fight. i guess he will be a forever gatekeeper. can't see him beating jacare (even if he beats rockhold)

Bisping best chance to get a title shot was that Sonnen fight.

Since that time 185 has become super loaded. Rockhold is better everywhere imo so i don't see him getting a W.

if Bisping wins, can he get a title shot already? Probably the most underrated guy in his division. That being said, I think he's going to get his *** whooped. Bisping came up with guys like Kendal frickin Grove and Matt Serra and others that have faded into obscurity and he's still fighting everyone the UFC puts in front of him. Gotta respect that.
Bisping to me is one of the most overrated guys in MMA. He's always good enough to be around the title picture, (that and his mouth keep him in the spotlight) but would get absolutely demolished by Weidman, Anderson.. etc. Got destroyed by TRT Vitor. Got dominated by Kennedy.

His boxing is cool, his timing and footwork solid, but it doesn't swing the pendulum his way when it comes to the cream of the crop.

If he gets by Rockhold convincingly, I'll go from there, but to date, he isn't underrated at all IMO

I dunno, people have hated bisping for years so they always say he's going to lose. I remember when people said denis kang would beat him down which was laughable. He's ran into a few trt guys. He really impressed me against chael and his defensive wrestling looked good. He's had a pretty good career.

I don't know. He looked good against Cung Lee but has been lackluster in other fights with Kennedy and Belfort. I just don't see him doing well against Weidman, Machida, Belfort, Rockhold, Macarena, Romero or Mousasi. I left out Silva.

Like someone said, his best shot at the title was against Sonnen. The most shallow divisions right now are Flyweight, heavyweight and women's bantamweight.

Ready for Friday and Saturday MMA

Friday- Rockhold/Bisping

Saturday- Shogun/OSP

Not the greatest matches but it's nice to have some MMA back on the schedule

Still can't believe Cain won't be fighting in a few weeks

If Shogun loses badly i'll probably shed a tear.
looks at name

has Hunt responded to questions about the fight being at a high elevation? I heard on the joe rogan podcast that its almost 8000 feet above sea level.

^The last thing I heard was that Hunt and his entire team relocated to Mexico and are having his camp there so he can adjust to the elevation.

November 15 is going to be nuts. Besides UFC 180 Werdum vs Hunto, we also have Bellator and WSOF cards.

Bellator:
Tito Ortiz vs. Bonnar
Chandler vs. Brooks for the 155lb Belt
King Mo, Melvin Manhoef and Nam Pham will also be on that card.

WSOF:
Yushin Okami vs. Dave Branch for the 185lb Belt
Melvin Guillard vs. Gaethje for the 155lb belt
Jessica Aguilar defending her 115lb belt

Bisping da gatekeeper

Rockhold flourishing and so methodical. Dude was just foolin around with the one-arm guillotine finish

Don't think he has it in him to take down Weidman doe, I think Weidman takes the fight right to Rockhold's face.. should be a dandy match if it ever happens

Rockhold rematch vs. Jacre would be epic. Rockhold Machida would be epic. Rockhold Romero would be epic. Anderson lurking

The Rockhold/Bisping matchup was a joke to me from the beginning. Instead of making a matchup based on some stupid back and forth arguing ****, they should've stuck with the original Rockhold/Machida matchup.

Light work for Rockhold.

Bisping put in some good work in the 1st but his lack of power is what lets him down against the best in the world.

So is McCall officially off tonights card? Word was he was pulling out because he got sick.

Another prime example of the UFC trying to do too much on one weekend.

**** the FightPass card. Put Rockhold/Bisping and Pearson/Iaquinta on tonight's card and you're GOOD.

Tonight's card is extra soft now.

McCall said he has a blood infection and that's why he had to pull out of the fight.

I kinda blame UFC for it. He said UFC blood tested him a few weeks ago and it showed that he had a slight blood infection. He and UFC thought he could fight through it. When they announced the McCall fight, I thought it was dumb for them to have him fight cause he was posting pictures of his jacked up hand, talking about how he had an infection and that he's susceptible to them cause he had MRSA.

Wow laces won that fight he stole that fight guy was gases the entire 3rd td and part of 2nd damn Brazil's crowd being by eist
