Really sucks.

Gotta throw Lauzon/Danzig on the Main Card now via Helwani. No other fight makes sense in that slot to me.

Gus would be unlucky to defeat Manuwa then have to wait for DC (if he beats Shad) to face Bones, again.

I didn't say "Shogun is back" or Shogun will definitely beat Phil.

I said you run the risk of Shogun landing a shot that puts Phil to sleep. Which is very real risk.

And even if they did fight, Rua would only be a slight underdog. Phil hasn't set the world on fire with his performances either.

-And Shogun looked horrible in his first 2 fights in the UFC, then looked spectacular against Machida. So the theory that he is on the upswing again is not far fetched

-Anyway Shogun is probably gonna fight someone like Hendo or Lil Nog next. A marketable fight, which can serve has a co main event but doesn't impact the division. Dana's favorite

There virtually is no one else to match with Davis other than Bader. It seems like this fight was supposed to happen for a while now anyway.

I'm still so disappointed that condit is off the card that was going to be a hell of a scrap. It looks like they want to reschedule it, but I wouldn't be surprised if other things happen and condit gets a new opponent, perhaps for even higher stakes

Nothing to gain by fighting Hendo. He needs to knock off some of these young bucks if he's serious about making a title run.

Manuwa would have been an interesting match up. Or Bader perhaps.

Can't believe Brown got injured. Easily the fight I was most looking forward to this weekend.

Great W from Shogun. Was watching with a few fellow fight fans and we wondered if Shogun might be the most universally liked MMA fighter in recent memory.

Seems like most other fighters have people here or there who aren't fans but I can't say I've ever come across someone who doesn't like Shogun.

Good stuff. Rory made it clear he will go back to fighting like the old Rory and I hope Lombard makes quick work of that boring *** shields

RIP, SDR. Only the good die young (30).

The FOX card has lot steam with Pettis and Condit off.

Team Alpha Male. War Benavidez, Mendes, Faber. Also rooting for J-Lau, McGee, Barboza, Healy, Jorgensen, Trujillo.

Castillo is the one TAM guy I can't bring myself to root for. With or without Bang's tutelage.

I hope Lombard knocks Shields' AJJ into the tenth row.

That's a terrible match-up for Rory. Maia's grappling and BJJ are going to dominate the fight, IMO.

Must be traumatizing for Ian McCall, who first responded to SDR lifeless in their residency.

I hope he shows his ground skills. I think that will get the attention needed for him to fight a higher level/ranked opponent. That, plus those leg kicks from hell.

Barboza by KO.

He would finish Varner in a rematch to avenge his lone loss.

I think the 115 fighters are pretty good but im not sure it will get viewers. Felice Herrig is probaby going to cause some good drama.

I was wrong, the next TUF is MW and LHW, and BJ and Frankie are coaching. The one after that is all women

I read an article saying gsp will take an indefinite leave and will also let go of the title. It's not yet the official announcement though. I'm still waiting for gsp to say it himself.

I would hate to see him go but I ironically watched like water and also a doc on Gsp from 2006 last night and you could see the mental and physical toll mma takes on an athlete. These guys need breaks

That belt belongs to Hendricks.

Put condit and Hendricks in there for a fight for the title
post #87 of 41107
I feel for Hendricks man, he is going to have to fight again for the belt that he already deserves...

Hate to see GSP go, great ambassador for the sport and a hell of a competitor.

You could look at his next fight like Hendricks is defending his belt. Most people feel Hendricks won anyway
