DC should've been throwing his hands like life or death depended on it in the last round...but who am I to say guess he really wanted that takedown. His Olympian pride took over at that point

This is how I saw it. Round 5 no one really do anything except Jones pretty much stall and  neutralized him.  Would of been awesome if DC knocked out Herb at the end.

Na, Lawler looked hyped after his fight and knew he won

KO of the night. Sick spinning back fist, threw it almost defensively or reactively.

Had Felder, TKO 2 too. But got Jury and Cannonier wrong.

:lol at JBJ during the FS1 interview. Dude kept saying that there's a lot of work that needs to be done and that he promises that his next fight will be his best. I can't tell if he's actually serious or if he's implying that he wasn't at his best and still beat DC. I'm sure he's serious about it, but he kept repeating himself to the point where it sounded weird.

Felder made a fan of me tonight... Will be looking forward to his next card

From my media experience with "Bones" in Baltimore for UFC 172, he really is plagued by the "Gus" fight. Refused to discuss the Swede. I really believe the places JBJ was taken that night in Toronto still gives him nightmares. Gustafsson damaged Jones' psyche in a way never seen before, and definitely has a mental and psychological advantage in a rematch.

To be P4P #1, you have to accept no blemishes. The quest is perfection. There were openings tonight in R2 and R3. DC was winning some of the dirty boxing exchanges in those rounds, particularly with right uppercuts. Cormier also landed a considerable amount of effective high kicks. This wasn't the banner performance we saw against Glover. JBJ needs to be better to defeat "Gus" in a potential rematch.

Cormier gassed from R4 onwards. Combination of Jones' body work, grueling clinch work, and I'm speculating, perhaps the weight cut. DC has limited experience fighting 5 rounds also.

JJ with another W... *Yawn*... DC wasn't beating dude standing up and he was apparently too proud to stick to his lay n pray game plan.

Jones the best you've ever seen. Deal with it.

So we obviously know what's next for Jones.

For DC, the winner of Teixeira vs Evans?

I absolutely agree it's just he way he said it kinda sounded funny

Also the fact that DC had to exert double the energy of Jones just trying to cover the distance on him physically and maintaining pressure throughout

Sincerity is not Jones' strong suit laugh.gif

Good win though. I enjoyed the fight. DC did some good things. No gas after a while though.

Cerrone picking them off one by one.

RDA gets his shot at Pettis in March.

Is Khabib cleared? What's his timeline?

throw in the eyepoke in the third, changed the momentum gave jones a breath and he killed him with that leg kicked to body. empty his tanked, dc just sat there on the chair, unresponsive to his corner

Man, Cormier had a hard time holding his head up in the post fight interview. That's not embarrassment, that is somebody who is disappointed in their self.

He gave Jones his due. What a stand up guy man. I'm a fan.

Hard not to like DC.

Easy not to like Jones.

Real easy to respect him though.

What's weird is when Sherman did his thing with Crabtree I was ecstatic. For some reason Jones rubbed me the wrong away tonight, I walked away a big fan of DC. I'm usually not bothered by the trash talk but I really don't like JBJ right now. It'll probably wear off by tomorrow laugh.gif

DCs cardio let him down today, but I think he won rounds 2 and 3. After that his gas was out completely. I did like that ride he took Jon for though.

Respect to Jones though

Not gonna change no use even mentioning it

I am a fan of his though, dude has good intentions and IMO, a good heart. He's just immature at times and a weirdo personality

He said "I hope DC is off somewhere crying" on FS1 had me :{:lol he needs to cut that **** off but also DC pushed his buttons. Jones has never done all of this to any other fighter besides sensitive Rashad

But Jones at this presser affirms why I'm a fan
