Easy win for Wonderboy, but nothing showed me he can beat Robbie

Really? If lawler can't get on the inside and land bombs then I see thompson picking him apart.

rory and hendricks both gave robbie close, tough fights but thompson dominated those two. His style makes him tough to hit.

I could see it being similar to Lawler/Condit. Which many scored for Condit.

Will the judges score it for Wonderboy in a championship fight would be the question.

Man, that Bosse/O'Connell fight :smokin

Cowboy looked vicious.

Not sure what Rory was doing in that fight. Using that post/bridge to close the distance.....and then not throw.

Wonder what happens to him in free agency. Fight went about as bad as you'd want under those circumstances.

I think Rory put himself in a bad situation heading into free agency. He should've mentioned free agency or exploring more out there when/if he won the fight. He will prob get a better contract outside of ufc.

Hope to see Robbie vs wonderboy. Round 4-5 robbie is a beast.

I still don't see the Thompson hype, his best wins are Hendricks and Macdonald with both of them already on the decline of their careers essentially. Hendricks being too fat to make weight all the time and generally unimpressive for a few years and Macdonald being a shell of himself after the brutal beating that Lawler out on him.

I just can't get behind his hype because his record doesn't mean much to me. And don't throw out his kickboxing record, I don't care about him fighting in a garbage circuit wearing long pants and shin guards.

Those 2 would still mess up a lot of the top welterweights. I think rory is still a beast but thompson was too good for him. Schooling two top guys in the division is impressive to me. lawler has been in a lot of brutal fights as well and he's accumulated a lot of damage since being back in the ufc.

Rory isn't on the downside of his career though come on

He also beat Whittaker who is a monster and also Côte after he was on 3 fight win streak

Wonderboy may be overhyped but his wins and resume are exceptional

Cowboy is upset at his pay. He said he would fight khabib or Nate at either weight...

It's time to stop posting

Time to stop posting because his resume isn't impressive? Yeah, okay.

You went from saying he's a points fighter, which is utterly ridiculous.

Then when you realized you were wrong, you said his resume ain't impressive.

Give the man some credit, cot damn. And to say Rory is on the decline? what more do you want from Wonderboy? What does he have to do to prove himself anymore?

And trying to discredit his kickboxing is stupid as well. That skill set has translated nicely over to MMA.

I'm not backtracking at all, last night was the epitome of point fighting TKD style. Don't believe me? Watch an international TKD conpetition. Bouncing around on your feet throwing sidekicks and single punches then retreating/running away.

I'll discredit the kickboxing all I want, he wasn't competing in K-1, Glory, Lion Fight, Best of Siam, Slamm!!, Krush, etc. being undefeated in kickboxing when you wear shin guards, booties, and pants isn't anything to brag about. It was back in the 60s and 70s, but it isn't today.

Edit: Rory is done, Lawler destroyed his nose. He doesn't need to get hit hard in it for it to be an issue now, which is not an asset in a fight.

Thompson's style is similar to Machida's, where with the some matchups it can be an exciting match or a highlight reel KO, but with other matchups you'll get what you got last night. Never know what you're gonna get

See Nate called it, Ceronne fighting for pennies cause he's always making himself available
The weird thing is, in Cowboys last fight, he made like 80k for showing and winning and another performance bonus which pushed him over 100k

If he made the same amount for the cote fight then he's getting bold...

I mean, it's just ridiculous to say thompsons resume isn't impressive...

Stop touching your keyboard!

Today I learned NTers are big fans of point karate and TKD.

I'm sorry if I offended y'all, but when it isn't a walkover fight he is a point fighter of the worst kind.

His style is most entertaining when someone charges forward at him like hendricks.

Awesome card last night can't wait to see Wonderboy/Lawer or Woodley. Still think Demian Maia being overlooked in this division and should get a top 5 fight next.

I bet the fertillas last nights card was unexpectedly great the prelims were great too.

Boose and occonell were just trading blows couldn't of asked more for a stand up bout

Yeah Valerie bae did have a nip slip and that's why she covered up..I swore she broke a rib from that kick man was I wrong.

Wonderboy looked great and deserves a shot

Rumor has it Rory is getting surgery and possibly getting the wandi face lift

Hendricks never been finished not even by the champ in 2 fights...

Rory never been dominated like that, not even by the champ in 2 fights...

Easy to say they're both on the downside after they lose to him, which i still dont buy

Btw Rory and Hendricks beat almost everyone in the top 10 beside Lawler and Wonderboy, even now

He got 79,000 to show and 79,000 to win so 158,000 plus the 50k bonus thats about 210k, not bad but he deserves atleast 100k to show and win imo. Ppl love cowboy, pay the man
