Where did Eddie rush in during this fight? That fight was slow paced and slow moving.

If Eddie had a longer reach he had a clean opening after that first leg kick when Conor fell down, could have been lights out
we must have different definitions of rush ins

Eddie actually said the plan was to throw kicks and wrestle but he just didn't do it. Not that he couldn't, but he just didn't. He said he fought a bad fight.

He did mention getting stunned and dropped and not knowing how it happened. Conor's speed and power in that left is crazy. I'm pretty sure getting dropped by a shot you didn't see coming could mess with your plans a little so there's that I guess

Eddie was standing stationary and conor used his superior reach to tag him from a distance

Eddie attacked him a few times where he was moving forward but I don't see how it was anything near what Aldo did

Eddie was on his heels, rattled

Those first two sentences kind of contradict each other.

Aldo was much more wild in his rush in

How many of eddies knock downs werea result of a rush in?

Anyway pointless argument. Conor proved a point last night, he proved me wrong on fronts I can't even deny. Some will always find something to criticize about him since he's gotten under many people's skin

Eddie was standing still and conor was able to touch him from a distance..? Idk how that's contradictory

Because you were making it seem like Eddie stood still all fight when he didn't.

He clearly moved in and got touched up on multiple occasions.

So if you're saying Conor got him while he was flatfooted AND while he moved in, that's fine.

But then he did tag him while he moved in. Which he did.

I don't know how you qualify "like Aldo" considering that was one punch. But he did move in carelessly.

From my perspective overall Eddie was stationary. Conor was able to touch him without Eddie moving forward

Obviously over the course of two rounds Eddie is going to have thrown some attacks. I don't agree that it was similar Aldo's lunge

Just my opinion

It's right there on the last page. Eddie moving in, alligator arming punches, head up, right on the centerline.

I guess that's Eddie being Eddie tbh

His striking was always a bit sloppy

But I'm not trying to take any credit from Conor like others seem to be attempting

i get that we want to move on but its probably why nate has success against conor, he doesnt rush in carelessly, hes patient with his striking

which is unfortunate because its how aldo usually fights, just got careless

I still want a 2nd Aldo fight. I'm not sure he ever goes back down but I like some of the fights at FW as well.

Nate had success also because his chin is made of steel, probably one of the best we've seen in the game

Not to mention Nate doesn't have a height or reach disadvantage. Those are all reasons nate had success as well

Eddie has a history of getting rocked

In that first fight Nate did to Conor what Conor does to everybody else. Use that wide stance, bait him with his head forward, lean back and counter when he throws.

After seeing this Eddie fight I'm not sure if I even wanna see Aldo 2. And I'm a huge fan, but he's gonna get lit up. I don't think his chin will hold up to too many lefts, and he's gotta fight the most disciplined fight ever to overcome the reach disadvantage.

Well, what I meant by Aldo was just the short, quick left that almost put Alvarez out. Obviously not near the loaded up bull rush that Aldo did but almost the same outcome. Alvarez' eyes looked rolled to me on his way down.
