The MMA Thread: DON'T ASK 4 STREAMS & NO GIFS- UFC 300 ON NOW

It's amazing and all I truly cannot deny it

I would just like to see him go up against Ferguson. Conor is in such command of his height and reach advantages it would be a joy to see someone who matches his measurables

The guys who are similar size to him are the guys he couldn't finish

Conor's straight left is too much for a lot of 145/155 fighters.. there's only so many guys that can match his measurables

Still haven't watched the main card yet.

But Khabib looked ridiculous. That is not a good match up for Connor unless he takes off six months to work on his grappling defense. He'd annihilate Khabib in stand up but the way this dude just quickly grabs you, takes you down, manipulate your body and proceeds to GnP is insane.

I wouldn't say it's the nightmare matchup we believed it was .. khabib seemed to be stunned by the quick hands of Johnson, conor has similar quickness and more power and precision

Conor also holds a 4 inch reach advantage

I'd love to see them go at it

Conor said "khabib has fought once in 8 years" lmao

no, his gameplan wasnt to kick and wrestle

his gameplan was "im the better boxer, im going to be the first to knock this guy out"

Word, he can say what he wants but at some point either his pride got in the way and/ or he just abandoned the entire plan.

Was he circling into the left as well? I was a lil lit and I think I remember complaining about him doing that.

I saw two game plans from two champions that had me in disbelief. His and Woodley's. Why would I stand on the end of wonder boy's strengths. Woolley should have been in his chest all night. Forehead planted in his chest.

He doesn't stand out of range like a karate guy but i disagree that his reach is a wash. He constantly paws at his opponents to feel range and distance and can keep them at bay defensively that way

This impacts the dynamics of the entire fight and how the opponent can dictate his movement

I don't exactly recall the Eddie pettis fight but did Eddie go straight into takedowns with out setting up with some strikes? I really thought this would be the same game plan for Conor

McGod

I would have enjoyed watching Conor sleep Frankie Edgar but he seems past that now

I just want to see Aldo vs Conor 2.

This is what I hope happens.

Conor vacates his 145 belt.

Aldo fights the winner Holloway/Showtime

Aldo then moves to 155 to fight Conor.

Connor/Ferguson.

Besides the Nate Diaz trip, Connor has beaten everyone they've put in front of him.

Connor needs to stay away from WW. LW, itself, is fraught with some serious matchup issues for the King (RDA, Ferguson, Khabib).

Connor should've called out Michael Chandler lol. And introduced the discussion of jumping to Bellator.

I don't really think divisions matter to Conor. That is to say if Aldo beat say max or pettis and moved to 155 Conor still wouldn't have interest in him

Conor doesn't like opponents who have pulled out of fights, and conor will always go back to 13 seconds

Chandler is better than that beta alvarez. He's wasting away in bellator but at least he'll put ben henderson to sleep.

13 seconds will always be it until/if they fight again..kind of similar to jds/Cain..I feel if they fought again Aldo would smash him. But can't say it til it actually happens which I doubt

Just seeing Conor's power and collectedness and how he was able to get knockdowns on Nate, I don't see Aldo smashing Conor

Aldo definitely gets touched in his fights I believe Conor would land a shot and shut the lights out once more. However I do believe Aldo is crafty enough to make it a much longer fight

Yup.

He's a garbage human being but his power is undeniable.
Backstory on Rumble being a garbage human being

And all his previous domestic violence cases

But Conor is definitely up there in power.. bruh puts these little guys to sleep. I'm going Rumble tho

like conor says, he sizes these guys up backstage and knows that none of these fighters can touch him. the guy is only 28 yrs young and he's only getting started. can't think of anyone that he would be an underdog to at 145, 155, or 170.
