weidman and aldo both deserve the immediate rematch. aldo was the only 145 in UFC and dominated that division. if he was a dana guy, this wouldn't even be a question.
 
thius is bull frankie deserves a shot, the ufc is screwing over him and meisha. if it wasnt for cain, barrera, silva etc this rematch garbage shouldnt even exist.

Big Aldo fan here but I don't want to see an immediate rematch .
The fight lasted 13 seconds only , not enough time to get that "ring rust" off. He should take on Holloway IMO, get that fight flow going and timing down. But Holloway is no easy fight either .
 
weidman? Nah he was clearly beat by the better fighter, he got some work to do, which im sure hes already started.....


Luke was right, he looked slow, sluggish and stiff......luke outclassed this dood and beat him at his own game. It doesnt get any more clear cut than that.


It was a good run, well see him back.....maybe give him jacare!!!! Ive wanted to see this fight for a while...

and on that note man jacare performance was disappointing....think a fight with chris makes sense right now for both of em.

If chris can beat jacare maybe he can put himself back into contention....would be a good fight.

NO! Weidman does not deserve a rematch. He was thoroughly dominated.
 
Weidman and Cain don't deserve squat man. They just don't. Thoroughly dominated

Again, Aldo Conor is on overload now. We were waiting for over a year already. To market yet another fight would be excessive

Agree , Dana would say a rematch isn't marketable since it ended fast. If Aldo looks good and dominates another opponent then the build up would be better .

Conor didn't impose his will on Aldo really, Aldo made a critical error, and Conor exploited that. Kudos to Conor for that, but....

-By my logic? Everyone? Aldo was champ for multiple years, the best fighter in history in his class, P4P best and loss partly because he made a stupid mistake that cost him his belt. I have said in the past that I don't like instant rematches, but in Aldo's case I would have less of a problem with than others. I still have a problem wit it.

-The winner is one left standing. Conor won, he is the champ, I'm not trying to take anyone away from him. But I been watching combat sports for damb near two decades, so I'm acknowledging that their are cases their "better" fighters get caught. 13 seconds, and one stupid mistake my Aldo is not enough to claim he is definitely a better fighter than Aldo. We don't know. All we know he could put Aldo to sleep if he catches Aldo cleanly with Jose is running in.

-And what question I'm I ducking. Seems like you're the only one that didn't realize it was a running joke to add fun to the thread.

The night of the loss I was in hear chopping it up and everyone was having fun at my expense

This is the part I have trouble with.

I truly respect Aldo and everything he's done.

But when I look at the landscape of elite fighters, performing at the highest levels of their sport, what happened in that fight is unprecedented.

I don't want to say they don't make "mistakes". But that's a BIG mistake in a BIG fight. And apparently against the wrong guy.

I can't remember seeing anything like that. Makes it very hard for me to justify an immediate rematch.

Do I want to see them fight again? Absolutely. Do I think Aldo should take another fight first. Yes.

Then at that point, you never know for sure that he'll win it......
 
Getting caught by a unorthodox shot is one thing. Aldo leaped in there, standing straight up, with a wide left hook against a guy with a 4 inch reach advantage going backwards. Bad idea for your first significant move of the fight. Not to discredit Conor either, he clearly did his homework and waited for it.
 
To top everything off, Conor told him exactly what he was going to do

I need to hear Mystic Mac's prediction against Frankie who he seems to respect. He's already said Frankie cannot handle his shots, but I want to know which round he thinks it would end

I hate champs getting rematches based off how long or dominant they were. Now if it's like Weidman silva I get it, but if u got severely beat like cain or ronda they need to win 1 or 2 imo. They make ppl like Frankie win 5 before a possible shot...U telling me there's that much of a gap?

Let aldo get some steam, give him atleast 1 fight to get another crack

Even chuck ain't get a rematch with page...and he was the biggest draw then and danas bff
