If you say he's a great boxer, then you seem to see greatness in him in some sense.

TDD is also very underrated.

Needless to say, didn't agree with the decision. I'm wondering if the weight cut was an issue. Jorge definitely slowed down after the first round. Looked winded when he leaned on the cage after the fight.

But it's on him. He's TOO much of a counter puncher. Has his moments where he's just not aggressive enough. Which is where **** will get tricky when it goes to the judges.
 
I only saw the 3rd round of Al's match, but I would of have thought Jorge was winning big with his laid back running away I already won the fight type of stance he was taking.

SMH ... fight till the end ...

"Greatness" overall in terms of the entire division. His great boxing isn't enough to propel him to the top of that division
 
Hard to say that about a guy we all just think got robbed and should be fighting better comp next.

But you're entitled to your opinion.

I just prefer to deal with reality. And we don't know that until we know.

God damn! I thought he was getting frustrated with lamas' distance but I guess he was just being patient and BAM! Great patience by mendes, dude has changed to a smarter fighter. The title picture is yet again interesting.

Yeah, just my opinion. He did win against Al but I wasn't convinced he could take out any of the top guys at 155

If he'd won, I thought him vs. Johnson would have been the PERFECT main event for the TUF Finale.

They should go that route anyway. They can't keep giving Jorge these borderline opponents. Give him a true contender dammit. Bendo got taken away would have been great

The FW title race is a mess

Frankie should win against Faber in May

Aldo and Conor fight in July

Who do they give the #1 contender to? Frankie shouldn't have to fight Mendes after Faber, that would be so wrong

I hope they give Mendes another opponent even though he is ready for another shot too. Maybe make the loser of the Aldo/Conor fight with Mendes
 
I've thrown out my theory before about what the UFC is doing. Where if Aldo/McGregor is even REMOTELY close, we see them fight again.

If Edgar beats Faber, sets up the "revenge" match for Mendes vs. Edgar.

Everyone also has to come out un-injured.

As a Frankie fan, of course I want to see him fight for the title. But we still all win if he and Mendes throwdown before that.

On a slightly related note, Poirier looked good at LW. I'd kind of like to see him fight Conor again but at 155, since Conor says he's going there eventually.
 
God I pray we don't have to go through an immediate rematch between Aldo/McGregor

Diamond looked awesome, albeit against a non special opponent. At least Dustin is happy without the weight cut, that's all you can ask for, that in itself will allow him to take his potential to wherever it may be. He really let Conor get in his head, such a shame. That should have been a great scrap

Unless Conor destroys Aldo, I pretty much think it is a lock.

Aldo been a great champ, he deserves it

Aldo deserves it but Conor doesn't, regardless if it's close. I would be massively disappointed if they did an immediate rematch. I hate immediate rematches in most cases
 
If Edgar wins against faber, he should rightfully become the next contender. Edgar has his string of wins that are more impressive than mcgregor's. Mendes just lost to Aldo, so he should have to wait. Edgar doesn't deserve mendes especially if he gets through faber, that's just ****** up if that's the case. It's already messed up having mcgregor fight for the title, but I understand the whole marketing scheme they have to follow.

Wouldn't be shocked if Romero came back dirty. And def wouldn't be shocked if Jacare tested positive too. Especially if he still has the same strength and conditioning coach that Silva uses.
 
Masvidal is such an impressive  striker. One of the best in MMA. I would love to see what he could if he transitioned to kickboxing.
