The MMA Thread: DON'T ASK 4 STREAMS & NO GIFS- O’Malley v Vera on NOW

John Dodson on a different kind of water

Dude is 5'3 and walks around at 160?

"I am the greatest fighter in the UFC," Dodson said. "I should be pound-for-pound the No. 1 in the world. That's how I look at it in my own eyes. I told everybody I'm gonna be a three-way king, a three-of-a-kind king. Everybody keeps on wondering what that means. I'm gonna show them. I've been telling people since day one, since the Ultimate Fighter that I'm gonna hold titles at 125, 135 and 145. I'm gonna stand true to that to this day."

Though his best division seems to be 125, Dodson walks around at more than 160 pounds. The 5-foot-3 powerhouse is a muscular, physical specimen.

So I did read that urine tests tend to give really varied readings like that though, especially depending on when the test was taken and what they ate etc. etc. I dunno, Vitor might actually be clean, in which case he might be getting his *** whupped today .

Skinny Vitor does still have that one shot KO though, like in the Rich Franklin fight. I guess we'll see.

I'm assuming yes according to the article the commission didn't move on the results because they don't necessarily prove anything

When you compare it to Weidman's results though, doesn't that look bizarre? I'm not well versed in these things though

Instead of doing the regular urine tests, they should've done blood testing and tested for everything. That would've quieted a lot of the speculation.

Yeah compared to Weidman's tests, Vitor's definitely look all over the place. They definitely coulda just done VADA blood testing and avoided the speculation. Especially for title fights, you would think they'd at least make sure the contenders are clean.

It'd be hilarious if Vitor knocked Weidman clean out then pissed hot tho . I'm actually really hoping it happens

Chris bout to beat the breaks off of Wildfire Vitor, in the name of the old gods, and the new

Weidman bout to get smashed :smokin

With that said, why isn't that fight the main event? I can understand Jones vs. Rumble being the main event but given the circumstances why wouldn't they give the only champion fighting on the card the main event slot? Doesn't make sense.

Wildfire Vitor's first bout off da TRT. We gonna see him get Dan Henderson'd?

I prefer for Weidman to keep the title, I want to see him go up against Rockhold and Souza

The usual rule is the heavier weight division gets top billing. I haven't checked if the UFC has ever broken his rule

-Edit: Rumble v. Comier is for the belt

Fixed it for you.

I thought DC vs Rumble is still a Championship fight since Jones had to vacate it.

Aldo vs. McGregor about to get top billing over Robbie and Rory Mac, but yeah usually heavier weights get top billing.

True indeed, either one of those fights needs to get made ASAP, both would be crazy. Kinda hoping for Rockhold Weidman tho, even though Jacare might've done more to earn it. Hopefully if Weidman beats Vitor he doesn't get injured in the process.

i think weidman probably should have saved those comments for after the fight but maybe the cut had him a little on edge, it aint gonna be a good look if he gets smashed

no way in hell is jacare clean

^ Not likely going to happen in my opinion, DC may be a bit too quick for Rumble.

Anyone else want to bet me with the DC vs Rumble fight? I got DC for the win, loser reps winner 5 times, 1 per last 5 posts, for being right on picks. If anyone has Vitor winning, let me know on that too. Just for the hell of it.

^Yup. He meant that ****.

Anyone catch the reason for the beef between Hall and Natal? I know it has something to do with Phil Nurse.

Uriah Hall has so much potential. Dude is as natural of a striker as there is in MMA. Just needs to put it all together.
